Overall Rating
Jamia Millia Islamia has been ranked No.3 by NIRF. My overall Experience in the university was exceptionally good. The Faculty of Law of Jamia Millia Islamia has been ranked No.6 by NIRF in 2024. The Main reason why I chose this university is because of its Prime location which is located in Delhi. Also, the fee is absolutely very less as compared to other law colleges. The campus life is also good. I would recommend anyone who wants to enhance their personality by balancing a professional career to take admission here.
 

Academics Rating
JMI offers 5 yr integrated law course i.e. B. A L.LB (Hons). Every year the university conducts its own entrance exam for admission in this course. The eligibility is same as others law college entrances i.e. CLAT, SLAT, etc. One needs to be 12th passed to appear for these entrances. The motive of the entrance is to get a quality number of students in the course.
 

Faculty Rating
The Faculty of Law of JMI offers a very experienced and renowned faculty. They are alumni from distinguished universities who are experts in their own domain. Our Dean, Prof Dr. Kahkashan Y. Danyal teaches us Family Law and her style of teaching is excellent. Another is our Prof. Dr. Asad Malik who teaches us Constitutional law, administrative Law and BNSS; he is the student's favorite.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell of Faculty of law of Jamia Millia Islamia is although not at par with other top tier but with passage of time and year the placements have increased. Usually, many students don't have a priority to get a placement but still the Placement Cell and committee are advancing each year to increase their reach.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the university offers a hostel facility but it's not necessary to avail it. Although many of my batch mates reside in hostels, the infrastructure is good. The hostel life is the same as those of other universities i.e. fun and exciting. The hostel has its own library as well as mess and other physical activities like games and sports facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The university has a campus area of 200+ acres. It offers a main library which is enough to accommodate more than 500 students with 2 reading halls and online library access. The University has around 3 canteens with different small stalls like Maggie point and cafe. The university provides the facility of sports stadium, with badminton court, cricket stadium, basketball court, volleyball court, football ground, etc. The campus provides all the facilities which are needed for a student.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the campus life of JMI is amazing. You get to meet crowds from all over India where you can interact with them. Different clubs are also available such as culture, fest, sports, editing, magazine and numerous others. It’s up to you if you want to be a part of it. The fests and events are also organised very frequently throughout the campus.

  • A University with Good Exposure and Culture

    I chose this university due to several points. First of all it is in Delhi and as a law student you can get a good exposure of all tiers of judiciary, other tribunals and legal authorities. Secondly, the university is affordable. The fee is 15k per annum for regular and 50k per annum for self. It has a good NIRF ranking and a good status. The University also has a great alumni base....     My elder brother suggested me to take admission in Jamia Millia Islamia University situated in Delhi after I cleared my 12th standard board exams. I was fascinated to know that this is among the top 3 universities of India. After my admission I came to know why it is a top-notch university.     One of the major factor for which I choose Jamia milia islamiya is its fees and its nirf ranking which is 26th in terms of engineering Also one of the major reason to join Jamia Millia Islamia was its campus is in Delhi where I get quite good exposure. My JEE Main percentile was 97 and I get computer science in Jamia Millia Islamia. The ROI which you get here is also very impressive.... Read Full Review

    The fees structure is so feasible for the students who don't want to spend lakh on doing MBA. So yeah first factor would be that. Then the campus culture is also so lively. Campus placements are also fine, this year my senior got placed at 24 lakh per annum. You can take guidance from the faculty but you have to strive yourself to up skill yourself as facilities are limited.... Read Full Review
