A Complete Review of University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata

Overall Rating
University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata has an excellent reputation in the state and students from different districts come here for study. The college environment is good as well as it is academically excellent with good faculties. The thing that made me choose the college was the number of companies that comes for placement This made me choose this college and I think it is true and others should obviously join this college for opting a bright future ahead.
 

Academics Rating
The best course that the University offers is Computer Science Engineering, which is divided into many parts, which includes: CSIT, CST, CSE, IOT, and CSE- AIML There are other streams, which includes ECE, EEE, and Mechanical Engineering. There are other subjects to pursue like LLB, BCA, BBA, and MBA. The entry requirements include above 70% in both 10th and 12th grade and A good rank in WBJEE or in IEMJEE, which is the university’s own entry-level test.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are very good, polite and also very much helpful. Many faculties are qualified from IITs, NITs, and other well-recognized government college. They are very well at teaching a makes the understanding easier and the subject more interesting which becomes better for attending the lectures. They frequently give assignment and internal marks are given according to the performance and the body language that we show in the classroom.
 

Placement Rating
Honestly, UEM is a private college in my state, and its IEM-UEM group. This college is one of the best colleges for placement, as we know that placement and salary packages are given according to the skills and ability of a particular student but every year TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant, and Capgemini come for mass recruitment. It really helps the students acquire jobs.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have hostel in our university, which is located in a good environment near Biwa Bangle gate, Newtown. The hostel is neat and clean also it offers good food and which is edible. The building looks really very well renovated which makes it better for the students for staying there.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Honestly, UEM is a strict college. The college life is good, if you can enjoy and make friends of your type and make memories with them. However, the life is good there with a lot of pressure in the studies as well as assignments or lab work. Clubs are present which includes sports, games and others, which organizes event every year. Fests are not frequent however on yearly basis; we have 2 to 3 fests, namely Esctacia and Eutopia.
 

Campus Rating
Honestly UEM is a strict college there we have to wear dress everyday and also 5 minutes late leads to closing of the gate and returning back home. The college campus life is good if you can enjoy and make friends of your type and make memories with them however the life is good there with a lot of pressure in the studies as well as assignments or lab work. Clubs are present which includes sports,games and others which organizes event every year. Fests are not frequent however yearly 2-3 times there we have fest which is a big fest known as Esctacia and Eutopia.

    Overall, the university is quite good because of friends I have and supportive faculty members. At the end of the day what matters is the memories you make and the things you learn so the campus, fests and all these does not matter that much. Overall, it is good.     University of Engineering and Management is one of the best private universities in Kolkata. If all that is important to you is placements and good education, this is the best university to go for. The first year students are never bullied or ragged here.     What attracted me the most was the education provided in the university, the placement records and their discipline towards studies is very much inspiring for all students. Faculty interaction with students is also very aspiring and help students a lot to achieve their goals.     Overall Rating
    To be honest, I chose UEMK because I couldn't get into IEM Salt Lake, which is the main campus of our university. My JEE result was also not up to the mark, so I couldn't opt for government colleges. Also, I didn't want to go too far in the South or North. If you are also looking for a college suited for studies and a decent environment for your next 4 years in Kolkata then I suggest you can definitely think of my college.     When I took admission in this college in 2021, the placement rate of this college was very good. More than 250 students were placed during the COVID period with an average of 2 job offers per student. So I took admission in the college. When I initially visited this institute it looked great.
