MSRUAS and MSRIT are different and there's a hell lot of differences between them. Both do come under GEF, but MSRUAS has been started recently and I was from the second passed batch of the University. There are many faculties at the University and I studied at the management department of the University. MSRUAS is doing many things better than RIT, but the placement part will catch up soon. MSRUAS has started an entrance from the very beginning and even courses like BBA have an entrance. The entrance was tough as it also paved the way for further competitive exams that I gave in my life. All in all, MSRUAS fees are reasonable compared to many other private Universities of Bangalore. The GEF group is known for its services that it has done to the nation and society. I am sorry if I seem to be exaggerating a bit but remembering my time that I spent there and putting all my experiences in this review is having some different impact on me.

The approach of handling academics here is quite different. The course is not semester-based over here, but it is more of a module based. Little like foreign Universities, you know as you can clear all your credits six months before the duration of the course. In BBA there were 12 modules in all that were divided into theory, practical and assignments components. Everything that we learned, in theory, were put into assignments, which were also kind of small projects for us to test how much we have learned. The final year was the best here, as most assignments were group assignments and there was a lone individual module too. All in all, MSRUAS is not a good place to learn but to apply all your thoughts too.

Well, all the faculties available at MSRUAS are quite qualified. Most faculties were helpful and friendly and their teaching methods were impressive. Faculties at MSRUAS use e-technology to make students understand the modules quickly. All the briefs that they did in class were done in an excellent manner that I had to go and revise once; that was all. Even in BBA, we got ample exposure to some of the most advanced technology by our faculties.

We saw one senior batch getting placed in front of our eyes and around 40% of the batch was placed. It increased to 50% during 2017 and it must be over 80% by now. The average salary offered to BBA students who got placed was somewhere around 30k a month. In our batch too it remained the same and all the jobs offered were in Bangalore only. The locals didn't mind, but to survive on that pay scale in Bangalore is not possible for outsiders. Many students, though, denied the offer that they got and because MSRUAS also made us prepare for entrance exams, most students cleared them and went on to study in some of the prestigious B -Schools of India.

Hostel was on a campus named 'Gnanagangothri Campus' which had an okayish room and food. The big thing was that the hostel was inside the campus so commuting never became an issue, which is indeed a huge issue in Bangalore. The University had a couple of hostels off-campus which are greater than the one I lived in but didn't mind staying at the campus hostel as commuting would have taken some extra toll. The life at the hostel was great because many students from various states used to stay together and College after parties were hosted at the hostel.

Infrastructure was also okayish. The University had many buildings inside the campus as there are around 8-10 departmental buildings. The entire campus was Wi-Fi, but the signal strength was average. The library was small as it had required material, but still, a collection of around 2,500 books in a University that has around 10k students is quite less. There are some sporting facilities available over here. The quality of classrooms and labs were also fantastic. Quantity of the canteen is quite less, but the food quality was great. Infrastructure wise, I didn't face any issues though, but would still rate it average.

Not many events happened as sporting events and fests happened once annually. Many societies were formed and the music society was the one of which I was a part for all three years. The big thing about campus life was that management and faculty supported entirely if students wanted to get themselves engaged in extracurricular activities. The course was international styled, but campus life lacked a bit as student interaction and some societies were the only takeaway from campus life at MSRUAS.
