BITS Pilani University is among the Tier-1 Engineering colleges in India. It has fantastic research and development opportunities. Having spent one entire semester on the campus, I consider myself eligible to write this review. BITS Pilani Goa campus, located in South Goa, amidst natural beauty and greenery makes it one the most beautiful campus in India. The greenery is also maintained within the campus. The reason I chose BITS Goa is because of its proximity to my home and the entrepreneurial culture. If you want to build something of your own, BITS Pilani Goa is your place. Be it a website, be it an app, be it a YouTube channel or a startup you will have the best guidance available here.

To get admission in any of the BITS campuses (Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad, Dubai) you need to clear an entrance test called BITSAT. BITS, Goa has no reserved seats as it is a private institute and hence the selection process is solely based on merit. BITS Pilani is famous for CS course but options of open electives gives students various opportunities to explore outside their chosen majors. The Dual degree program provides flexibility by offering two degrees in span of 5 years.

Faculty in BITS is all experienced and holds a Ph.D. Many of the faculties have their own startup or are currently working on some research projects. Faculties are there to guide you if you face any difficulties, be it academic or non academic. If you have any research idea you would like to pursue, they also guide you and help you getting funds for your research.

The placement at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Goa is one of the best. Over the past few years BITS have ensured a remarkable placement rate of more than 90% students getting offers. The placement cell is run by students under the guidance of administration. The alumni network of BITS also plays a crucial role in this as the network is wide and helpful.

The hostels are quite amazing with a room for two during the first year and then single occupancy from the second year. The basic facilities such as clean washrooms and drinking water are always available and maintained time to time. The rooms are spacious with one study table, one closet, one cot and two racks for keeping books.

The infrastructure at BITS is at par with other Tier 1 colleges with a campus of 180 acres, divided in four main blocks. There are many labs for practical and research purposes with state of the art machines and latest technology. There is Wi-Fi connectivity all around the campus and the room has one LAN port. There is a laundry service inside the campus and many eateries and ordering options are available outside campus.

The campus life at BITS Goa is amazing with more than 20 clubs and departments on the campus all run by students. The junior-senior interaction is great as seniors guide juniors along their way and each junior is assigned a mentor in their first year. The crowd at the campus is helpful and supportive and everyone is eager to learn new things. There are three major fests, Waves (cultural), Quark (technical) and Spree (sports). These things make your experience at BITS Goa the best experience of your life.
