UEM Through My Lens

Overall Rating
Overall, the university is quite good because of friends I have and supportive faculty members. At the end of the day what matters is the memories you make and the things you learn so the campus, fests and all these does not matter that much. Overall, it is good. The faculty members are compassionate, the labs are very good and in classroom, there is no AC, but all the other amenities are there such as projector, speaker, microphones, etc.
 

Academics Rating
Academically, it's a very good university. In B.Tech, there are so many branches like Computer Science & engineering, Computer Science & Technology, IOT, CSBT, Robotics , Biotechnology, and Data Science Computer Science & Information Technology and so on. The eligibility criterion is through WbJee. You can join this university but maintain a rank less than 10k to get good branch. This is the best university among all the private universities in Kolkata.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members of UEM are good. they teach very well. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders and some of them are from top IIT's. They elaborate and make us understand the concepts very well. Apart from some of these, the faculties are great.
 

Placement Rating
Placement from this university is quite challenging but if you maintain a good CGPA, maintain knowledge, and learn properly you can get good placements. So many students got CTC of 15-30 LPA this year as well.
 

Infrastructure Rating
UEM does not have that much big infrastructure. There are 3 buildings in which we have 11-14 rooms per floor. Each building has 4-6 floors. In the middle, we have basketball court. We have 3 auditoriums and so many labs like Chemistry, Physics, Computer, Language, and others. The capacity of the classroom is 100 students. The computer lab has latest computers and all the labs have latest machineries.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is average in this university as there are no big grounds for fests. But the plus point is that there's so many clubs and competitions happens in our university. There’s Drama, Singing, Dancing, Robotics, Hackathon, Astronomy and more clubs. Recently, we've ‘Biospectrum’ competition, which has international conference as well so yeah university provides us so many opportunities apart from big campus.

    What attracted me the most was the education provided in the university, the placement records and their discipline towards studies is very much inspiring for all students. Faculty interaction with students is also very aspiring and help students a lot to achieve their goals.     University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata has an excellent reputation in the state and students from different districts come here for study. The college environment is good as well as it is academically excellent with good faculties.     To be honest, I chose UEMK because I couldn't get into IEM Salt Lake, which is the main campus of our university. My JEE result was also not up to the mark, so I couldn't opt for government colleges. Also, I didn't want to go too far in the South or North. If you are also looking for a college suited for studies and a decent environment for your next 4 years in Kolkata then I suggest you can definitely think of my college.     When I took admission in this college in 2021, the placement rate of this college was very good. More than 250 students were placed during the COVID period with an average of 2 job offers per student. So I took admission in the college. When I initially visited this institute it looked great.
