My Views on Bankura Sammilani Medical College

Overall Rating
I choose MBBS for my passion as for years I want to treat poor peoples who are unable to buy medicine and costly surgeries. There are some complex surgeries which are too costly so I want to help poor people. After cracking NEET exam, I choose this college according to my NEET UG rank and score.
 

Academics Rating
For getting entry in MBBS one has to crack NEET first, eligibility criteria is class 12th result. There is a ranking or scoring border line to enter MBBS field. 600 or above is a safe score in NEET to enter medical colleges according to their all India rankings. NEET is the only one national exam to enter MBBS field and get a chance to be a future doctor.
 

Faculty Rating
Our academic faculty is too much helpful to students and gives special care to students. They teach frankly to their students. The faculty members are supportive in nature. A lot of facilities are provided by the college to the students for their overall academic development.
 

Placement Rating
After passing our MBBS and getting license we can get entry to house staff ship. Also after passing final year, we must do internship for 1 year.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, hostel facilities are available in the college. Also there is a big playground in front of the boy’s hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 2 academic blocks in our college. Our auditorium building is too nice, there is also a forensic medicine building in our campus and the hospital area is too large. Road is under developed and the transport system is good and available all time. There is also a library in our academic block 2, where all types of medical books are available with national and international authors. Also there are lecture theatres and two large exam halls in our academic block and the department labs are also present there.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is truly enjoyable. Our college fest is Synapse which is conducted in month of November. There is huge patient load in our hospital so there is full scope of gaining more knowledge. Overall, the campus life is great here.

    BSMCH is one of the very good government medical colleges in West Bengal. Though it is a peripheral college, it is well equipped with modern amenities and is on par with medical colleges in Kolkata. It was established in 1921 as part of freedom movement.
