My experience at Dr.AIT

Overall Rating
Like any other Engineering aspirant, I was also preparing for JEE Main but couldn't score according to what was required. Then I took another drop year for 2nd attempt and since I was sure that I have to enroll in college this year anyhow, I applied for other entrance exams including COMEDK which allowed admission in this institute.
 

Academics Rating
So, I came to Dr.AIT through COMEDK exam and my rank was 21,000. I chose the ECE branch in 2023 and my fee according to the rank I scored was around Rs.2,64,000/- per year. I'm currently in the 3rd semester. Electronics is a tough branch but if you love it then you will enjoy it. The other way to join Karnataka colleges is through KCET which is for Karnataka residents.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculties in my institute are well-educated and they hold a Ph.D degree. They are very co-operative and will help you in all the situations, from clearing yourself doubts to academic guidance. You just need to concentrate on your academic performance and rest will be sorted for you but one thing to keep in mind is to maintain at least 75% attendance in all the subjects.
 

Placement Rating
As the recession has been going on for the last 2 years. The placements in our institute were not up to the mark. I expect a lot from this institute as it was built in 1980. The Placement Cell takes care of your placement, but you need to put a lot of effort into your skills. I would suggest not being wholeheartedly dependent on the Cell and keep up skilling yourself.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are available in our campus. There are 3 boys hostels and 1 girls hostel . The names for boys hostels are Siddhartha, Ashoka and Ananda Bhavan. I stay in Ananda Bhavan for which I pay Rs.82,000/- every year including mess fees and all. Siddhartha and Ashoka have 4 /3 /2 sharing rooms along with single sharing rooms but for single sharing, you will have to pay Rs.1,15,000/- per year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is average, but the design is modern. The campus area is not that big, and it is around 25 acres. Apart from that, it houses a football ground which is common for cricket as well, a basketball and volleyball court is there. A few days back our new indoor sports complex was inaugurated by the present CM of Karnataka which will house an indoor gym, badminton court and other amenities.
 

Campus Rating
Coming to personal experiences, when I joined the institute, I thought I would face language barriers but to be honest, I didn't and people here are nice and they are very friendly, and you will be able to make a lot of good friends. Also, since the institute is located in the city you have a lot of opportunities and places to explore around, the connectivity is strong for all means of transport.

    I am a student of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology which is situated in Bengaluru. I am studying my undergraduate course here. For overall review I would like to say it's not one of the best colleges to study but it is okay. The education is actually quite better and the curriculum is not that uptight. They will give you enough freedom unless you won't misuse it. I chose this college because I heard the placements are not that bad so I really do hope getting a good placement.... Read Full Review

    Our institute is established in the year 1980. This is an Autonomous engineering institute. This is affiliated to VTU university. Our college has 163 rank among top engineering colleges. The institute is situated in Bangalore. Best thing about our Institute is the provide huge number of training and placement support. You never face any problem regarding facilities....     The experience in this Institute was quite good. I chose this institute as this was the Institute that I got in KCET Final Round. The environment here is good filled with greenery and beautiful atmosphere. The faculty was quite highly experienced with masters as well as a PhD degree.
