This institute is best for the students who want to pursue their career in research field. The academics are easy to tackle. The infrastructure is okay. Placements can be improved. Hostel facilities are good, except for food.

Honestly, you will not face any issue regarding academics. If you believe in yourself and trust self-study then you can definitely join because there will not be so much workload or exam stress. Therefore, you will be having so much free time where you can explore your interests or prepare for any exams like UPSC or others.

Almost 65 percent faculty is Malayali. However, knowledge wise they are good. They are always approachable and kind too. All of them are readily involved in solving student’s doubts.

The placements of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam are not up to the mark. The officers in the placement cell need to work harder in order to bring good companies for recruitment. It would be appreciable, the cell starts conducting training session in order to teach students new skills or enhance their personality and confidence.

Hostels are clean when compared with other institutes. There would be three sharing rooms. For girls, hostel will be inside the campus premises but for boys, the accommodation sometimes provided in different hostel, which is around 2 KM away from institute, but it provides transportation facility. The food in the mess is the biggest issue. The hostel management needs to pay attention to elevate the quality of food along with its hygiene. Only if mess food is improved, the experience of the hostel will become 10 out of 10.

Infrastructure of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam is top notch. You will not find such infrastructure even in top institute. Classes are fully air conditioned and so clean and we really have a beautiful campus. Sunsets in our institute are just awesome. In addition, we enjoy beautiful labs and classrooms I mean there are so many classrooms where you can study during weekends without any disturbance from your roommates during weekends.

Firstly speaking about extra activities, there are good amount of clubs in our institute. they are all functioning as well. The main thing is that all these clubs are been pushed and got reorganization only because of students hard work. There are clubs like sports club, music club, drama club, dance club, astronomy club, and photography club as well. The focal thing I would say is it is developing, the students currently in institute are trying so hard to develop those clubs as much as they can. These clubs are really putting so much efforts to celebrate festivals, events as good as they can. Therefore, events and festivals are sorted. The other thing I would like to specify is its Kerala so you can explore and visit so many places but the only problem is you need to get permission from teachers. Another positive thing is you have holidays on Saturday and Sunday so i will have so much free time.The other thing I would like to specify is its Kerala so you can explore and visit so many places but the only problem is you need to get permission from teachers. this is the only thing we hate, even we need to go out for walking we have to take outpass and if you want leave for 1 day also u need to ask management which is hectic. they'll eat your brain to give permission. but at last they'll give. Another postitive thing is you have holidays on saturday and sunday so u'll have so much free time.
