NIT, Rourkela is Overall a Good Institute

Overall Rating
I have chosen this institute because it is a prestigious institute in India and it has good placement records and it's growing day by day. It has a vast campus area with greenery and good environment. Institute campus management is also good; they are continuously trying to keep the place neat and clean.
 

Academics Rating
There are several courses. I have been selected for B.Tech (4 years). The entry requires qualifications in JEE Mains within the cutoff percentile which is different for different categories and also for home state or other states. The motive to get admission in this institute is to become a successful engineer and to serve our nation.
 

Faculty Rating
Overall faculties are good. Some faculties are very enthusiastic and energetic about their duties and passion. The style of teaching is also good. My branch is Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics is taught by Dr.Suman Roy, Wave Optics is taught by Pawan Kumar and Mathematics is taught by Dr.Kamlesh Acharya. All of them are having good teaching experience and skills.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, institute has its own placement cell. It really helps the students to get their dream job and company.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel facilities are good. Infrastructure is also good, water facility is also good. Overall facilities of the hostel are good but the speed of internet is quite slow here.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Academic block is good because it is new. Classrooms are also having air conditioners. There is lack of an auditorium. Institute is having a BBA hall but its capacity is not too much to handle the whole strength of students. Main academic building is also old. I think there should be an open theatre which is required during many cultural fests.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is good but you may feel lack of some facilities which are available in the cities because it is a little bit far from the main city. Institute is having a great number of students across various departments so that's why you may see students everywhere. There are many clubs in the institute related to different fields.

    After observing it for few months, I can assure you that this is a great college for overall development. Everything is great here including food, education, hostel, extracurricular activities and many more. It offers an exceptional blend of academic excellence, vibrant campus life, and outstanding infrastructure. The college provides numerous opportunities for growth through internships, fests etc....     Institute is very good. It's a nice place to explore yourself. There are all courses available, whatever a student wants to enroll in. The college is good at academics and also in other fields like sports, quiz, etc. Many students are part of the Institute. The cxampus is spread in 600+ acres of land.
