Choosing K. J. Somaiya Institute of Technology has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. There is a perfect equilibrium between education and fun. The campus is amazing consisting of not only all the important courses but also amazing labs for interactive hands-on experience. Our professors endlessly encourage us, provide us with exposure, and give a push to build critical skills. This institute provides us with numerous internship opportunities, placements and connections, which prepare us to face the real corporate world. If you are looking for a place that would help in your academic and personal growth in a dynamic environment, this is the perfect choice.

This institute has 4 primary branches: Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. These are renowned for their strong theoretical foundations. I am currently studying Information Technology, which is one of the top courses offered by this institute. Apart from undergraduate B.Tech courses, it also provides degrees for Masters in Technology and courses under Doctor of Philosophy. Coming to requirements, it needs a candidate who should be an HSC pass out with Physics and Math as they are compulsory subjects and a valid JEE Mains or CET score. I enrolled in this program to gain more knowledge in the field I am currently in and prepare for masters.

The faculty here is amazing. Some of them teach exceptionally, but some of them can be even classified as ‘strict’. Every course and branch has a different professor, and they usually change every semester. Each professor, HODs, and assistants are proficient in their work. Furthermore, scheduled tests are taken semester-wise along with end-sem exams, assignments are given, and all the teaching styles of almost all the professors are highly remarkable and innovative.

We do have a placement cell and it is really helpful. The placement offered here can be said to be average with highest package being 13 lakhs pa. 150-175 students leave this college with an avg income of 6-7 lakhs pa . But a good gpa and skill set will definately help you gain admission in a premium university abroad.

Asthavakra Hostel has an amazing accommodation to live best of your hostel life. 3 students are allotted per room and each room has a common washroom. The food in the mess is good and cleaning of rooms is done every alternate day.

It contains the main building, with 8 floors. There is also an air-conditioned auditorium and an amazing library. The library contains a lot of resources and various books for many courses, along with different novels of varied genres. We have a separate seminar hall and a cafeteria with an amphitheater. It also has a multi-purpose ground for different sports, a cricket turf, and a different ground usually used to play football and for track events. Different labs are assigned for each individual branch with appropriate facilities and equipment.

The campus life here at KJSIT, is an exceptional blend of fun, excitment, academics and growth. It offers various opportunities to explore our interests with committees such as The student council, CSI, IEEE, ISTE, and many more. It consists of clubs such as GDSE, S4DS, IOT, Robocon, NLI, and various others. We have a cultural fest, "The Surge"; Sports fest, "Score"; and a Techfest "The Renaissance,” annually. We are also provided with various other opportunities, such as NSS for volunteering and blood donation camps. Celebration of major festivals and days are held, which helps greatly in fostering friendships. Official educational trips are also organized as a part of the learning experience along with multiple informative and development seminars throughout the terms. At the end of everything, K. J. Somaiya Institute of Technology offers the best of the memories and a lifelong memorable journey.
