I prepared for CUET-PG entrance exams back in 2023. However according to my score I couldn't make into DSE. But this didn't disappoint me. I was selected in Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics. However I wanted to do my masters from a public University. Therefore I decided School of Economics, DAVV, Indore. This shift from a tier two city to Indore was not that difficult as I thought. When I started my masters' classes, the experience became even better. The local students are friendly. Moreover my classmates have group study plans during free lectures which sometimes surprise me. The teachers were also very coordinative and few of them were very industry focused too. This surely made my overall learning experience much more interesting and goal oriented. I am sure the University environment will help me become the best version of myself by the time I complete my master’s degree. It has been five months since I have joined this Institute and I got the opportunity to attend two national level conferences. In the first one the chief guest was IIM Indore's chairman and in the second one the UGC chairman himself. There is an active E-cell in the college which provides opportunities in finance, marketing, sponsorship, research and development, etc. The seniors are also super helpful.

I am currently pursuing my Masters in Economics from School of Economics, DAVV. The admission in this program is through merit basis only. You must have a bachelor's degree in any course from a recognized University. The course is more research oriented rather than industry oriented. They have quantitative subjects like mathematics, statistics and even econometrics. Therefore a prior knowledge of class 11/12 mathematics would be beneficial during the course. My motive to join for this course was to appear for NET-JRF exam and become a professor. The college also has Ph.D students who are super helpful.

The faculty is very cooperative and friendly. The senior professors have a lot of experience which they are ready to share without hesitations. The visiting faculty puts their 100% to make students understand the concepts and the logic behind things. For few subjects only professor's classes are not enough you need to put your efforts as well. However few professors are so good that their class lectures and notes will be enough for examinations. If you want to learn beyond your academic course they are always happy to help and guide.

The placement cell doesn't have many opportunities for M.A. students because most of them are taken by MBA student. However you can always sit for placements and your skills, knowledge and personality might help you get placed. The average package is decent. However you not only have opportunity to sit in college's placement drives but you can also be a part of University's center placement drives.

Hostel facilities are available in the University with much lower fees than private hostels. Boys and girls hostel are separate. You can apply for hostel facilities when you come for your document verification. The hostel has a decent infrastructure. The facilities provided include water, electricity and food facilities. The hostel entry closes after 8 pm.

The college's infrastructure is decent. Every classroom has DLP, whiteboards and proper working lights and fans. The washrooms are also clean. There is an auditorium with good sitting capacity, computer lab and a virtual classroom too. The library has a very good collection of relevant books, magazines, journals and daily newspapers. The book issue facility is also easy and efficient for students. The University's canteen is also few meters away from the college which makes it more convenient for the students. Parking for students and teachers is available inside the college campus.

The campus life is full of opportunities. There are also various opportunities for extra curricular activities at the university level like sports, drama, poetry, etc.
