Life at Indian Institute of technology, Kharagpur

Overall Rating
As we all know that IIT, Kharagpur is one of the biggest IITs in India. The infrastructure design is amazing, and the culture is also good. There are a lot of societies here which encourage us to do something new and give us a chance to develop a new skill. The crowd of the institute is also good.
 

Academics Rating
To get admission into IIT, you have to clear JEE Advance with good rank and you have to get above 75% marks in your 12th standard. Choose the branch of your interest carefully as it is difficult to change it later on.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of IIT, Kharagpur is experienced and talented but few of them are that great at teaching but apart from that most teachers are good. Their teaching method is very technical and that’s great. They all are very hard working.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a Placement Cell, but you should have good skills to get placement in companies.
 

Hostel Rating
The hall is good. The cleanliness is maintained and all the facilities provided are also good.
The structure of the hall is very good, and, in every hall, there is a canteen which is a life saver during academic days.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The buildings of IIT, KGP look structured and well-designed even though it is one of the oldest IITs.
 

Campus Rating
There is a lot of crowds here and the campus of the institute is good in all the cases. There are a lot of clubs where parties take place. Here the largest spring fest is organized where many celebrities come every year. When it comes to sports IIT, KGP is one of the best in all IITs and maintains a mention-worthy record.

    IIT Kharagpur is one of the most renowned academic institutes in India. It has NIRF ranking of 5th in engineering category. It is one among the oldest IITs in India which makes it strong alumni network. The lush greenery campus with fresh air, away from city makes students life excellent. I am from IIT Kharagpur and unlike many other IITs, there is no LAN Ban or restriction on data usage and also there is no hostel curfew which is an added bonus.... Read Full Review

  • Prestigious institute for the right exposure

    Indian institute of technology Kharagpur is one of the oldest and best Engineering institutes in India. As we can see through the NIRF ranking, it is one of the prestigious institutes and we can get admission in it by cracking Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).     Among engineering colleges in India, as everyone knows IITs are the most popular and ensuring institutes and even among them IIT Kharagpur is the oldest. The faculty and infrastructure here is totally worth the competition and hard work which one goes through during its preparation. The life here is mesmerizing and again worth the struggle.
