An average college, go for it if you have interest

Overall Rating
As a PG student it's a good college to get exposure in lab from 2nd sem. The food and facilities are average. There are some kinds of restrictions like girls should wear kurta and all. There is well facilitated laboratory. A total of 7 labs are there in our department itself. The campus is equipped with cafeterias in the campus other than the main canteen. For Malayalee's, there is Malayali associations too.
 

Academics Rating
Biotechnology is an emerging field. They have great exposure in the future. For pursuing PG in biotechnology we need a B.Sc background in biology courses. The application process is through online mode and if we are selected they send an email at the registered email address with the joining dates. On the day of registration we need to bring the documents mentioned in the email.
 

Faculty Rating
There are good teachers with eight to fifteen years of experience. All the teachers have doctorate degree in there subject and have a clear idea about the subject they teach. They give short notes and we need to Elaborate and study it. Th notes they provide gives a very clear idea of the topic. PPT’s are used to teach any topic. In case of emergency they complete the and convey the topic through Blackboard.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell. They provide details about the placement and each department have a head for this placement duty. 50% of students got placed in different fields through this placement companies.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are residential facilities in the Institute. But I am not a hosteller. As the knowledge from the hostel students the facilities are good but there are limitations for going out and getting in.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are a lot of departments in our Institute. It has seven floors with lift facility. There are total seven labs in the block. The classes are equipped with fans, tables and chairs. Drinking water facilities are provided. Each department has a HOD, Dean and faculties. A spacious library is available for each department.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is average. There are a lot of clubs like sports, dance, media, etc. There are a lot of departments too. The crowd is average in the University. The two main events are Onam celebration and Orion programs are conducted by each department but not everyone knows about that. There are two large grounds for games such as, basketball, football, cricket, etc. These all are available in the campus itself.

    I chose this institute for many reasons. First this institute has a good academic reputation and I’ve heard that the students are disciplined. This institute has a well structured curriculum that builds a bridge between academics and industry trends. I applied for many more colleges but chose this one because the fee is affordable.
