My overall experience with the institute is quite good. I'm enjoying the learning process here. The main points that made me choose is it very impressive placements among all other NITs. It is also one of the old NITs with strong academics and excellent faculty. There is a good environment to study and do research along with many other opportunities. It also has strong alumni network.

I'm studying in the department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) that is one of the oldest departments in the institute. It has excellent faculty and well equipped labs for practical knowledge. The entry requirement to be able to pursue this course in this college is to appear in JEE Main exam and pass with a good rank. According to the previous year cutoff of the exam, you should get a CRL of less than 9000 (if you’re from general category). After that, one needs to go through the counseling process.

Not only in my department but in any department of NIT, Warangal, the faculty members are very good and highly experienced here. The faculty members or professors are very friendly and supportive towards any academic problems and projects. Their educational background is very strong and has well expertise in the respective subject. Many of them have degrees from IITs & NITs and even PhDs from famous foreign universities. Coming to their style of teaching, it is phenomenal, as they do not focus on old learning methods or just bookish understanding. Rather, they make us understand the concepts very well using practical examples so that we can master the subject and use that knowledge practically in our career (if we pursue core fields).

Yes, we do have a placement cell in our institute. It is just beside the food arena. It is known as incubation centre, where all the placement and internship related activities take place. It is helpful for the students to acquire jobs in the industry. They also contribute in skill development of students for betterment of their future.

Yes, we do have residential facilities in our institute. We have ultra-mega hostel (Ramappa Hall) for 1st year B.Tech and 1st year M.Tech students. The institute blocks for the 2nd years students i known as Kakatiya Hall. There are further separate hostels for 3rd & 4th year students, and girls.
The hostel life is good and we can enjoy a lot with friends. We have GYM and mineral water facility in the hostel. Infrastructure is very old actually but it's going to be renovated very soon.
The main drawback is the washrooms/toilets of the hostel; they are not cleaned.

We have building for the administrative purposes and respective departments for all the branches individually along with a very big central library for studying which also had digital library section with very good and high quality computers to learn coding skills and many more. We also have other amenities like institute stadium for playing sports and courts for badminton, volleyball, basketball, and tennis. There is also physical education department for GYM. There are multiple food outlets for students along with separate canteen.

The campus life in NIT, Warangal is very good and decent. The crowd here is very competitive. We have good environment here for academics and research. We have clubs for almost all the hobbies and all other extracurricular activities, where we can learn new things and contribute our best. We have good fests in our institute for example ‘Technozion', which is a technical fest, and Spring Spree, which is an annually organized college fest where we participate and enjoy a lot in our college life.
