My Thoughts on Zakir Husain College

Overall Rating
Zakir Husain Delhi College provides a decent experience to its students. The college has excellent faculties but its study places like classrooms, library, and common rooms need improvement. The college is located in Central Delhi near a prime location Connaught Place. I think people should go to this college if they are focused only on academics.
 

Academics Rating
Undergraduate admissions take place through CUET UG. For B.Sc (Hons.) Mathematics, it is necessary to choose Mathematics along with other three subjects in CUET. In CUET 2024, the cutoff for B.Sc (Hons.) Mathematics was 390 out of 800. The motive for enrolling in this program would be gaining ample amount of opportunities available for Mathematics Majors. Although the course requires dedication and hard work. You must also be sure that you have some interest in Mathematics, otherwise it can get messy.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculties are excellent with great experience of multiple years. I liked them because they teach really well, have great personalities, and allow students to enter even if they are little late to the class. I like Abdullah Sir (He supports all the students), Chinu Mam (always helping in student queries), and Venugopal sir. Although, some of them can improve their way of teaching.
 

Placement Rating
The placements at Zakir Husain College need lot of improvement so that students can have better placement in future. It depends on the student who will be responsible for his chances of getting a job. On the contrary, side, I think students may have to depend on Central Placement Cell of DU for some opportunities.
 

Hostel Rating
No hostels are available. In addition, there are no hostels nearby the college. Students have to live in Laxmi Nagar mainly.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the college is average. All the basic facilities and utilities are available for the students. However, little renovation and refurbishment will enhance the beauty of the college along with improving the experience of the students. Because of the compact size of the library, it is always bustling with students. Although, it has decent amount of books. The auditorium is very nice and good.
 

Campus Rating
The annual Festival ‘Zeenat’ is conducted in February. There are societies/clubs for drama, dance, National Cadet Corps, and many more. Recruitment for these clubs/societies happens twice a year.

    Being in a college of University of Delhi that is Zakir Hussian College, gives the experience of studying in a prestigious college of India. It is approximately 200 years old college and was initially a (Madarsa). Now, it is recognized as Great College of Central Delhi. The faculties of the college are top qualified.     Zakir Husain Delhi College is the oldest college of Delhi University which was established in the late 17th century. It is also one of the oldest educational institutions established in India. The college is a part of the south campus, with students across India providing a diverse and vibrant environment.     ZHDC is all about the balance between academic life and co-curricular activities. I was Zakirian so, from my point of view I loved my college life at Zakir Husain Delhi College. I did a Bachelor's in Zoology Hons from ZHDC, yaa it's somewhere true that fest at Zakir are really not that happening. But trust me besides that everything is just wonderful over there....
