My experience at Heritage Institute of Technology

Overall Rating
I am currently in my 2nd year and through my experience, I can say that this institute is average. They provide an impressive number of placement opportunities and actually the number of companies coming is also good, even for the core branches like Mechanical Engineering and civil Engineering.
 

Academics Rating
I am in the Information Technology branch and the criteria is to achieve a rank of around 5,000 in WBJEE but I don't know about the JEE criteria. The main motive to enter this institute is that it offers good quality education.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is very good and well experienced. They come from very good educational backgrounds and are well-informed in their subjects. The teaching method varies from teacher to teacher but most of the faculties are very patient and guide you nicely. The number of faculty is also very impressive so the student to teacher ratio is good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have a main library which has an impressive collection of about 21,000 books of various subjects. There are also many departmental libraries which consist of just departmental books. The institute has a canteen which is medium priced but has an impressive number of items on the menu as well. We have three buildings, an auditorium in the institute campus only and also, we have 2 playgrounds.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is very fulfilling and there are regular events and also annual sports meets. Our institute also has its own teams for football, cricket, basketball, volleyball and archery. The junior senior interaction is also very nice and for the past 3 years there have been no ragging.

    If you didn't score well in your JEE or WBJEE, then you can choose this college. Maybe it’s the best private college in Kolkata. Placement here is decent and the faculty members are average. The campus is big and many companies visit for placement although average package is not too much but as tier 3 college it’s a good option.... Read Full Review

    Overall the Institute is beautiful. The location of Institute is perfect with good campus area. I would recommend people to join this Institute. If you don’t get Jadavpur then this Institute should be your second choice. It was a good decision to join this Institute. Here people of same intellect are found with whom you can vibe.     I have spent 2 years in this institute and my overall experience is pretty good and decent. I think according to me this is one of the best private institutes in West Bengal and that's why after completing my 12th, I choose this institute to pursue my B.Tech degree in CSE and it needs quite a good rank in WBJEE as well.     It is one of the best private institutes currently in Kolkata. Students are pursuing various degrees making network with students. Teachers are nice and supportive.
