Overall Rating
I have chosen ‘Mining Engineering’ at IIT BHU. At the time of preference filling, I kept other IITs also in the preference list but as per my rank, I got Mining Engineering at IIT BHU. My overall experience at this institute is very good. Our institute provides not only academic excellence but it has very good sports facilities also. Almost all the sports are present in our institute along with GYM also. All the students have to reside in the hostel provided by institute.
 

Academics Rating
The admission in our institute is through JoSAA counseling which is organized after JEE Advanced. The academics in our institute are well structured teaching about not only the respective course but also other core subjects like Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Drawing, Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering, etc. The exams are held twice in a semester that is mid semester and end semester. The difficulty of the exams is generally moderate but it also depends on professors.
 

Faculty Rating
Almost all the professors in our institute are PhD holders. Although some professor are very strict but they are approachable also. Students can approach them anytime for academic doubts as well as for placement related doubts. Overall review for faculties is good.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our institute organizes placement drive in which students can sit in their final year (before final semester). Talking about the placement season 2024-25 until now, 881 offers have been received from more than 250 companies. The highest package this year is ₹1.65 Crore per Annum. Some companies, which visited our institute this year, are Plutus research, Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, Tata steel, JSW, Cohesity ,etc. The placement season in our institute is helpful for students to acquire jobs.
 

Hostel Rating
Our institute has 13 boy’s hostels and 4 girl’s hostels. The hostel facility is very good. All the hostels have their respective messes and the food quality is good. Apart from the mess in hostels, there are 2 pure vegetarian messes. Each room in the hostel has beds, study tables, and chairs. In addition, the hostel has internet facility. All the hostels have beautiful lawns and badminton court also.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our institute has 3 lecture theatres for the classes. Apart from that, there is Annie Besant Lecture Theatre also. There is a central library, which has around 2 Lakh books and students can issue them anytime for studying. There is reading hall in the library. For sports facilities, there is student activity centre in which there are indoor games facilities also.
 

Campus Rating
Our institute organizes annual cultural fest 'Kashiyatra', annual technical fest 'Technex' and annual sports fest 'Spardha' in which thousands of students participate. There are many clubs, societies, and councils in our institute like Science & Technology Council, Sports Council, and Cultural Council. Science & Technology Council contains many clubs like Club of Programmers, Astronomy Club, Robotics club, etc. Sports council consists of all the games and sports. Apart from these clubs, there is SCS (Students Counseling Services) which is also a student run body.

    IIT BHU is currently ranked 10 in NIRF ranking 2024. The college has very good environment for academics and personal development. So many clubs and societies are there to help a student in his / her extracurricular growth. The college has tech clubs like aero modeling, robotics, coding club, and more.     Overall Rating
    The overall experience at IIT BHU is like dream fulfilling, had a rigorous curriculum, research opportunities and highly educated faculties for the academics. I really like the sports facilities offered by the institute and joyful & memorable experiences at the festivals. But when it comes to hostel life is really get emotional because hostel is the true heart of the students where they live for 4/5 years as their home and friends as siblings.
