My Perception of Army Institute of Technology Pune

Overall Rating
AIT is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University or SPPU. AIT has the best environment for Coding and sports. It has many clubs having 100+ of members. Only children of Army, Navy, and Air force people are eligible to take admission here.
 

Academics Rating
Army institute of Technology follows the syllabus given by SPPU offered in AIT are Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical Engineering, and Automation & Robotics Engineering. In total, we have 8 semesters divided in 4 years of BE and 2 semesters in each year. There is Masters course in Computers Engineering also.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are very much qualified with PhD degrees in their respective fields. Faculties are very talented. Some are very strict and some are very friendly. They are always ready to solve student’s problems
 

Placement Rating
The institute placement is good with current average package of 11 LPA including the off campus placements. Some of the big companies are MasterCard, ZS, Deloitte, Barclays, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
This institute has 6 boy’s hostels and 1 girl’s Hostel. Rooms are divided into singlet, doublet, triplet, and quadruplet, which are given based on your attendance and academic performance. The hostels are cleaned everyday with proper sanitation. Rooms are also cleaned every week by sweepers. There are water coolers and heaters on every floor. Geysers are installed on every floor and connected to showers.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Army Institute of Technology or AIT is located near Dighi on Alandi Road with a campus area of 30 acres including staff quarters. The campus is full of greenery, which is also its main highlight. AIT has 2 volleyball courts with artificial grass, kabaddi court with mats, 2 squash court, 2 closed badminton courts, natural grass football ground with lights, cricket ground along with 2 practice nets, and 2 basketball courts with lights and so on. It has two canteens OAC and FC with good food, one barbershop, and one ice cream shop, stationary and other shops for daily requirements.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is best in Army Institute of Technology. The campus is covered with greenery, which gives good vibes. Senior-junior bond is very good. Seniors help their juniors to grow. It is very normal in AIT to find your ex-classmate. There is hostel in time of 10 PM.

    As my college name “Army” Institute of Technology suggests, this college is full of discipline and is regulated by AWES (Army Welfare Education Society). The placements of the college are excellent. The average package of college is 13-14 LPA and last year, the highest package was 1.2 CRPA.     I came to know about Army Institute of Technology through one of my faculty members who taught me in my entrance coaching. Later, I searched about the college and went through their own website. The college's official website consists of all the information regarding admission process, fees structure, placements details, etc. Since my father was from the army, I felt like this will be the best option for me as this college will be safe and secure while studying, as well as for placements....     I would rate the college 8/10. The placements are good but could get better. The campus is pretty small and far from the main land city, other than this, I think the college is pretty good and can compete with many NITs around the nation.     AIT is an institute only for Army Wards and J&K quota students. It was affiliated to SPPU but now it is in process of becoming autonomous. Initially, one might find it little strict than other institutes as we are army wards and are expected to behave in certain way but after adjusting and with time you will get use to it.
