The university is quite good, starting from the infrastructure to university life and most importantly from educational perspective. It was closer to my hometown and the advantage was that the medium of instruction was English. The faculties are quite helpful, supportive and friendly. Other than that, we have some major University events like Amiphoria, Winter fest and Mahalaya.

The course curriculum includes not only the core subjects but also subjects that help in personality development, public speaking like business communications, professional ethics, foreign language, etc. The distribution of marks between main exam, quiz, presentation, internals, lab, and viva is good and students get an opportunity to score well in the exam. Also, there is NTCC and STSM, in which we have to write review papers or even research papers, which we can publish later. This helps students even at bachelor's level to get exposed themselves to research writing and studying research works. The professors are always around to help the students get better in each field.

The prime language which professors use to communicate in is English but if a student is unable to understand a certain topic, then they also explain it in Hindi or Bengali. They make sure that every student in the class is attentive, and phone usage is not allowed in the class. Even if you have some doubts related to certain topics, you can ask the professors after the classes, and they will help for sure. The professors are also the NTCC guides who help us throughout the term.

The university has a Placement Cell, but as a bachelor's student in Dietetics we didn't get a placement while the engineering students got pretty decent placements.

The hostel is pretty decent. The best part is that it is inside campus and closest to the academic block, so if you have your class in the academic block you can always reach the classroom within 5-6 minutes. No electronic devices like kettle, iron or steamer are allowed. An exception is laptop, straightener and dryer. We have 3 canteens so you can eat in any of these 3 before 10:00 PM. No cooked foods are allowed in the room. We are allotted a flat with 2 rooms which is not that spacious (each room needs to be shared by 2 people) and a washroom, a toilet, and a small hall to dry your clothes is available. The bedroom consists of 2 beds, 2 wardrobe, 2 desks, 2 sockets near each table, a chair and curtains are provided. If you want, they'll also provide a towel, 2 bed sheets, and a pillow and its cover, but I would recommend bringing your own, as they were used by previous students. All rooms have AC, even the small hall inside the flat. The medical service is available but keeps some basic medicines with you. No grocery store is available inside the campus. You can issue the day pass only during the weekends, and night pass is for going home or night outs. Staying in a hostel saves me from the daily hassle of traveling.

The infrastructure is quite beautiful and well maintained. The campus includes an academic block and 2 separate hostels for boys and girls. A sports complex including badminton, volleyball, basketball, carom, squash, table tennis, swimming pool (only for those who already know swimming) and a football ground. We have 2 small parks where we can relax in our free time. There are 3 canteens, one on the ground floor of hostel building which can be accessed by every student even if they are not a part of the hostel, second one is in D-Block, and last one is in E-Block. All canteens are vegetarian and if you want a non-vegetarian option then you can order online or from the small shops opposite to the university. The university campus is not enormous but decent. The washrooms are present in every floor and are clean.

We have 3 major events; one is Amiphoria, Winter Fest, and Mahalaya. Amiphoria is a 3-day event which is an inter-university fest where different universities are invited to participate in different events like song, dance, poster making, photography, then related to coding, science, public speaking, etc. These events are organized by different clubs and include food courts, small accessories shops, etc. The event also has DJ nights, and each 3 days different bands or solo performers come to perform. It is like a festival in Amity. Then there is Winter Fest usually occurs during November, and this includes celebrations like cake mixing and DJ. Lastly, Mahalaya is celebrated before Durga Puja. Other events include health camps organized by the wellness club and ramp walks by the fashion department going on throughout the year. Seminars are conducted every Thursday for the students.
