Post Graduate Government College for Girls: Strengths & Weaknesses

Overall Rating
My overall experience is worth explaining. The campus life is good. There is a huge crowd of 6000 students in the campus. The campus is full of greenery and has many facilities. The sports facilities in this college are good. This college has won the title of the best ‘Youth Fest’ for more than 11 consecutive years.
 

Academics Rating
My course is BCA. The admission is completely merit based. The eligibility to admission is having more than 90% in class 12th board exams. The motive to enroll in this program was to get comprehensive knowledge about Computer Applications and to further pursue MCA in order to become Software Engineer.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are good in Post Graduate Government College for Girls. They have knowledge of the curriculum. All the faculty members are PhD holders. They have high experience in their respective fields. They teach in a good manner to students so they can easily understand the concept in-depth of the knowledge.
 

Placement Rating
They are a placement cell in this college. The heads of this cell are Naveen Pandhi and Mohit Sanan sir for BCA department. The placements are average.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, it has 4 hostels for students that are outside the union territory. The hostel life is good. The hostel timings are highly strict to the girls. The students are given two outings on one on Wednesday from 3 PM to 5 PM and on Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. The infrastructure of the hostel needs to be improved.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The building of Post Graduate Government College for Girls is very old and needs refurbishment. Washrooms need to be cleaned more often. Nevertheless, the college has various facilities like GYM, Nescafe, juice shop, fast food corner, tailor shop, beauty parlor, and a tuck shop to buy general products for students. The college also has good sports facilities. In addition, we have a large playground and a basketball court.
 

Campus Rating
There are various fests, clubs, and cells for students in the college. The college also provides NCC and NSS to the students to prove their abilities. The fests are held regularly (every 1 to 2 weeks) in this college.
