Delhi College of Arts and Commerce B.Com Review By Anuj Verma

I have choose Delhi University because of its history, brand value, it's value in international universities and corporate across the world. Here we will get a lot of opportunities to network with people of diverse background. DU gives a very good exposure to its students. Faculty of my college is well educated, qualified and experienced in teaching. They are very good in teaching all theory and practical concepts. It is also a great reason to choose Delhi University. In college societies of du we get a lot of opportunities for personal development and networking, participate in inter college competitions, etc. This college is also one of the attractions of Delhi University.

B.com hons. is one of the flagship courses offered in Delhi University. This course gives us a very detailed knowledge about Accounts, Finance, Marketing, communication, human resource, audit, taxation and business mathematics. After the implementation of NEP we get an opportunity to study additional elective subjects like Skill Enhancement courses (SEC), Value added Courses (VAC), Ability Enhancement courses (AEC), Generic elective (GE), etc. In Delhi University one must have to appear for Common University Entrance Test (CUET) in one Language subject, 1 Math or Accounts subject, and two other subjects. One needs to make sure that he is appearing for whichever subject that he must have studied in his class 12th. My motive for enrolling in this particular course was to get an advance knowledge of finance and management and make my carrier in that field.

As I have mentioned before the faculty of University of Delhi is one of the reasons why I have chosen this college. Our college faculty is very well educated, well experienced and they come from very diverse background and also have corporate experience. They teach us about the same to get jobs.

Our college does have and placement cell. Our college offers a decent on campus placement opportunity. Companies like KPMG, EY, PWC, DE shaw, Accenture, Bechtel, etc. visit our campus for recruitment. Our college offers an average package of 5 lpa and highest goes up to 22 lpa.

No, Our college doesn't offers on campus Accommodation. We have to look at private Accommodation facilities like PG and Flats.

The only thing that I will criticize about my college is the infrastructure. Our college campus size is very small with a campus area of 4 acres only. College building is also very old and the campus has two buildings, one is named as old building and the other is new building. The college has more than 100 classrooms, 1 auditorium, 1 seminar hall, 1 well equipment library with more than lakhs of books, commerce room, staff room, medical room, 1 media room for journalism students, 1 stationery, 1 students council room, 1 cafeteria, 1 sports ground, and personal rooms for all the college societies and lastly a gym.

The atmosphere of our college is very good although our college campus is small but the campus life is not that bad. I will say our college has a very good crowd. There are people of diverse knowledge and from different states and background. Our college has a lot of societies, some of them are vangati, enactus, nss, e-cell, Social entrepreneurship cell, etc. All of them provide opportunity to grow network with people. There are a lot of fests happening in our college every month on a regular basis.
