VIT AP University is an emerging private university in India and in AP as well, with good placement opportunities, facilities, and faculty. This university has a few things that are not inculcated into other private or government funded universities. It offers very good sports facility along with clean and hygienic food in the hostel messes.

This university offers admission in several specializations in CSE, Mechanical, and ECE along with BBA, and B.Com. The classes can be a bit hectic as students have 8-9 classes in a day including labs sessions. The classes can stretch until 8 PM. In every semester, there are 2 mid semester exams along with an end semester exam. The difficulty of the paper is unpredictable like some may get an easy paper while some getting moderate but everything comes from the syllabus only. Quizzes are regularly conducted and marking is good.

Faculty here is of excellent quality. Each one of them is highly qualified. Their teaching methods align with the learning capacity of every student. The faculty members have years of experience and are very helpful. Each class has 70 students. This institution has FFCS system where a student can choose their faculty. Their class timings as well, lab timings can also be personalized as per student’s preference. Students can be part of this system from 2nd semester onwards.

The university has a dedicated placement to help students with their placements and internships. It also prepares them for placement and make them market ready. One different thing about this university is that STS courses are aimed to prepare for placements. It is introduced in academics from 1st year itself while other universities generally do this in 3rd year. Highest package in placements was 41.5 LPA and average package of being & LPA. Approximately 70-80% of the students are placed.

VIT AP University has 6 boy's hostels with one under construction, 4 girl’s hostel, and another one coming up. Cleanliness is taken utmost care of in these hostels with complete room cleaning with cleaning solutions. Every floor has 1-2 guards ensuring the safety of the students and avoids them from misbehaving. Every hostel has its own well-equipped GYM. 24x7 water supply and electricity is also good.

The university has a beautiful infrastructure that includes 2 academic blocks and one central block. These 3 buildings are where the classes take place and are not very far away which makes the commute less tiring. The university plans to build a few more buildings for academics. They are going to have exchange students also. Coming to sports facility, the university boasts a rock climbing centre, a squash room, one football field, 3 cricket nets, 6 indoor badminton courts, 1 lawn tennis court 2 basketball courts, TT room, a paid gym (Rs. 1200/month), etc.

Students enjoy an average campus life, be it hostellers or day scholars. The university is a bit strict about its norms and regulations with security guards at every floor and at every place. Outings are allowed only four times in a month that too on weekends where the good thing is the university itself provides shuttle busses to drop students and pick them up too, but students can choose to go by commercial vehicles. The university is very safe for female students as well. For leave, you have to apply and your application will be reviewed by your mentor, most of the times, these leaves are easily approved but while applying leave you have to keep in mind your attendance. Every year, lots of hackathons (5+) and events are organized like gaming events, speaking events, quizzes, fashion show, talent shows, meet & greet and what not. There is a vast variety of clubs too and these clubs organize events mentioned above. Many jamming sessions too are organized near the flag post.
