RVR and JC College of Engineering B.Tech Review By Patan Ismail

I am a student of RVR and JC College. I am very satisfied with our college and I chose it because this is one of the best colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The placements are also very decent and the infrastructure and faculty is also good. Many cultural events are also organised. I strongly recommend joining our college.

I am pursuing CSE IoT here and to get admission into this college, you should get a good rank in EAPCET, or you can join through Management Quota also. In second year, some diploma students join through lateral entry. The fee structure for management is around Rs.2,00,000/- per year for my course. It is the same for all the courses.

Our college has very affectionate and caring faculty who help students in personal development. The faculties are well-qualified, with a minimum degree of M.Tech and a teaching experience of 3 years. They help us learn and understand the subject and concepts pretty easily. The curriculum is pretty much related to the current trends in the market and makes us ready for the corporate world. We also have guest lectures and workshops frequently, around once a month at least. The semester exams are quite easy to pass by studying for a week or 10 days before the examination and we can also score good marks if we prepare enough. The curriculum is also pretty easy, with only 4 units per subject.

Our college has decent placements. The highest package this year is 25 LPA, and the average package is around 5 LPA.

The hostels are also good at providing homely food. It has an indoor gym as well. The only problem is that they don’t have any Wi-Fi facility.

There are different blocks like Hi-tech block, silver jubilee block, cyber block, etc. The college is surrounded with mountains. The view is very good. It has an open Arial theatre and is the venue for co-curricular and extra-curricular events that make life colorful and enjoyable. The seminar halls are provided with AC and a large library. Our college has good infrastructure which includes a highly subsidized Canteen that serves lunch and snacks, a Dispensary, Bank, a Gymnasium for fitness and few other amenities. Perhaps, there is every facility in the campus that renowned institutes generally provide to its staff and students.

The campus life is very good. There are more than 3000 students in our college. They conduct cultural programmes, fest, fresher’s day, celebrations, etc. They have programs like NCC and NSS. We can join any club. Sports activities are also held in our college. They also provide funding for students who are interested in entrepreneurship.
