My View of AVV Coimbatore

Overall Rating
You might have heard that this college is strict but it is nothing like that. There are restrictions but if you get good friends, your campus life will be so good. The campus has beautiful sceneries surrounded by mountains with chill climate. It is a great college for students seeking excellent qualifications and placements.
 

Academics Rating
I am from CSE AI batch. Every department has less free time, as you will have continuous classes. Attendance of above 75% is must. Our department does not have end-semester exams. We have to do projects for each subject. Project and subject viva for 30 marks, assignment for 20 marks, mid-term of 30 marks and quiz 20 marks. Most important thing for AI department is Linear Algebra. Probably you need to work on your coding skills for placements from our CSE AI department.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties here are very experienced and have great knowledge as they have done more research. Mostly every faculty is soft and teaches well but you should be safe with some faculties. In my course, there are very talented teachers they are mostly from Kerala. Teachers take lectures only some tell us to take nits but others send notes through outlook. Every teachers in my department are ready to help me in any way i want in various projects, business ideas, etc.
 

Placement Rating
There is a separate department for placements. In order to sit for the placements, you need to have minimum 7.5 CGPA and you would get best placements if you have 8+ CGPA. The average package for CSE department is around 10 LPA. At the end of the day, for good placements you need to have best skills.
 

Hostel Rating
I am a first year student studying at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore. We first years got new hostel and it is full of comfort. It has quadruple rooms and there is enough space in rooms for four members to stay. The rooms are furnished well. We get a study table, a study light, and fan at each corner of room. Every room has high-speed Wi-Fi connection. The food in the mess is average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The buildings in AVV Coimbatore are of old vintage type. We have four academic blocks. The fourth one is our block and it is still being constructed. The largest block is AB-1. In front every academic block, there is a devotional statue. We have a temple inside our campus. Non-veg food is being provided from this year in three canteens. We have one huge ground along with three other grounds. There is a GYM and indoor game faculties too.
 

Campus Rating
You wake up in the morning, get ready go to college and then take classes until 4:30 PM. Then you roam around, do assignments, have dinner, and if you are interested in any extracurricular activities, you can spend time being involved in them. This is the life in the AVV, Coimbatore. There are less number of fests in this college. One of the major fest is ‘Anokha’. There are many clubs and one that I am familiar with is Music Club, I have gone to their events. I have no idea about other clubs.

    Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore is a beautiful green campus located in Ettimadai, around 20 KM from the city of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. It is one of the top premier institutions in India, ranking 7th in overall rankings as per NIRF. I have chosen this university due to several reasons.     It provides really great experience and the environment provided by the university in Coimbatore is of top class. It has a very holistic approach towards life in which they will impart education.
