Deen Dayal Upadhyay has Most Supportive Faculty

Overall Rating
Deen Dayal Upadhyay College is very good for academics, extracurricular activities as well except some sports. The infrastructure of the college is one of the beat in Delhi University. Faculty members are also good and supportive not only in academics but in extracurricular activities. They organize many activities like workshops, etc.
 

Academics Rating
I am doing B.Sc MTS which is kind of a general course so we have to study 3 subjects overall. Maths, Computer Science, and Operational Research. The pressure is not much but maybe the teachers can be more helpful. We are allowed to choose our electives. Along with the core subjects, we also have to study some additional subjects. If you are not attending classes, your marks will be deducted not just from your attendance marks but also from internal and practical marks.
 

Faculty Rating
Some teachers are good. At the end of the day, you would have to study yourself. If you have doubts, then they can help you out. In addition, there would times when teachers will not write recommendations for you if you are not in their good books.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have placement cell in Deen Dayal Upadhyay College. Placements are fine if you really want to be placed. By fine, I mean around 30-40% students are placed if they try. Attending all the workshops, working on their skills and especially their communication skills. Companies for B.Com and BMS students have an upper hand. Around 70% students are placed.
 

Hostel Rating
I cannot say about hostel since I never stayed there. They are new, so you can expect them to be really clean and functioning. They are just 2-minute away from college and inside the campus only. I cannot say about mess food but the canteen is cheap and there is Amul dairy too.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of Deen Dayal Upadhyay College is to good. All the classrooms have centralized AC with projectors in it. Seminar halls are also there. The college is having highly modified or modernized auditorium. Apart from this, the college ground is small, which can dissatisfy you.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life will not be up to the mark. You would have to travel for at least 15 minutes to get somewhere decent but that too is limited. Students from North or South campus have better opportunity in that matter. Gender ratio is fine, 50-50 I would say. Everything else like labs, extracurricular activities, sports and other clubs are good.

    It was overall good and enjoyable experience. I got to learn lot of things, gain experience of working on live projects, assignments, trying new things, meeting new people, developed new skills and had immense personal growth.     The college from the outside looks good, the building is also good but they are not well-maintained. It can be seen from the condition of the classrooms that how the building is dilapidating. The canteen is small and gets crowded in the lunchtime. The college has a very small area located for sports activities resulting in very few sports being played there.     I am 1st year student pursuing B.Sc Computer Science in this college. My overall View on this college is that it is a good college. It has good facilities and well-built infrastructure.     Overall our college is good to average for students to join. Basically for those students who are interested in academics are highly recommended to join the college since our college has good infrastructure and good faculty members for education and academics.
