My Journey in CUJAM

Overall Rating
Central University of Jammu is located at Samba, which is approximately 25 KM away from the city. It is very beautiful campus because of mountains. Whole campus is covered with mountains and greenery. I studied at this university for 3 years. Moreover, this 3 year is very special for me. After finishing B.Sc, I chose to pursue Masters from other university.
 

Academics Rating
This university provides B.Sc-M.Sc integrated course in Physics. You have opportunity to drop at B.Sc and complete the M.Sc from other institutions. You have to appear in CUET exam to get admission in this university. You need at least 250+ marks. My motive to choose this university for B.Sc in Physics because it has separate ISRO department. In 6th semester, you have project paper of 12 credits that are very useful for practical experience. This is generally not provided in most of the universities.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are very nice and gentle. They have very deep knowledge in their core subjects. Normally, all the faculty members have completed their PhDs from IITs or Good Research institutes. In addition, post docs from abroad. Therefore, they have deep knowledge of subjects. that's why, they teach very well in core subjects like Mathematical Physics, Electro Dynamics, Quantum Dynamics, Thermal Dynamics, etc.
 

Placement Rating
After M.Sc, generally students move to clear NET JRF and complete their PhDs at India or abroad. In addition, some of them join MNCs. the average monthly income is around 50000-120000 INR.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have hostels in Central University of Jammu. We have 5 boy’s and 4 girls’ hostels. All hostels are very good. New hostel is looking like five star hotels. In addition, girl’s hostels are better than boys are ones. In hostels, there are all types of facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have best infrastructure among all the universities in Jammu. There is main building in which library is located and separate building for all departments like Science Building, Arts Building, Engineer Wings, ISRO, and DRDO building is also present at my university. In Science building, there are 5 floors and each floor is dedicated to one subject as Physics, Chemistry, Botany, etc.
 

Campus Rating
There is good campus life. We have fests and annual sports. Generally, in one week, two to three conferences or events are held in auditorium. In the month of October, we cultural fest and at end of December, we have annual sports events.
