My Perspective on Oriental Institute of Science and Technology

Overall Rating
I choose this institute as I heard about this by many people around me. It's been 3 months in this institute and I can surely say that it was the best decision of my life. The faculty is very nice and kind to everyone and always helpful to us.
 

Academics Rating
Oriental Institute of Science and Technology provides all courses for engineering, medical and management students. For engineering JEE Mains is required to be qualified by the candidates. I will definitely encourage students to join this institute. Also the infrastructure and management team is good enough to handle all situations.
 

Faculty Rating
There are 5 major subjects which are taught to the students of Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science. The faculty is very nice. We all are free to ask questions and doubts. The faculty is very nice to each and everyone.
 

Placement Rating
The placement is also decent in Oriental Institute of Science and Technology. The average package for Computer Science is 4.5 lakh per annum. We do have a placement cell which has almost 7 to 8 members who belongs to or have worked in renowned companies of India and outside. It also arranges various seminars and webinars for us with technical, HR, and hiring team of companies.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we do have separate residential facilities in our institute for boys and girls. The food of hostel is decent enough to eat. It also has facilities such as gym, courts, sports room, and mess area.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is also nice. Engineering has two institutes for Pharma and management. There are various blocks such as academic, central Library and canteens for us. There are a lot of places in the campus for students to relax.
 

Campus Rating
Campus is also good enough to visit and wonder here and there in free time. The crowd is also decent enough. There are 2 fests conducted every year for us. Apart from it there are various clubs for students for overall improvement of students. There are other programs which are held with tie ups from other companies.

    From academics to infrastructure, I don't see any melt down, as facilities in just one and a half year that I have spent here have only gotten better. Therefore, instead of saying that this could be better or die, we match our peers and the others I would rather be happy saying that whatever Oriental Institute of Science and Technology has is best....     Overall, Oriental Institute of Science and Technology will make you feel completely at ease. Don't ever forget the mental strength and stress has done to teen age and young students these days but then there's OIST who address all these issues. We have seminars on the same and beyond education. The senior are helpful and so is the entire staff, be it teaching or non-teaching staff.     I am going to make this review a little more personal. I have enjoyed every bit of my college life so far and I have enjoyed discussing or debating the same with students of other institutes. I have enjoyed every input that the institute has given so far for the students.     OIST happened to me after deep research and alumni chats. As soon as I learnt that I am not getting any top tier institute, I ensured that among the second best I would have the best choice.
