My Experience in Sri Venkateswara College (Venky)

Overall Rating
Venky is one of the top colleges of Delhi University and I am very grateful to be studying here. This is a college where you can have a very nice college life along with your studies. There are people here from all around India so everyone can find friends. You can have fun through societies and extracurricular activities. This will not let you lack behind as academics and attendance is taken very seriously here.
 

Academics Rating
Like I said, academics are taken quite seriously in Venky. You are required to have minimum attendance of 66.67% as even attendance carry marks. Apart from this, there are continuous quizzes, assignments, presentations, and class tests to keep you caught up with your syllabus. This year, CUET cutoff for B.Com program was 751 out of 800 which is quite high, so you compete with your peers in a healthy way.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of this college is college is exceptionally good especially for Commerce. They explain each topic in a great way and are very communicative as well. I personally appreciate all my teachers, as they are very flexible and not rigid about matters at all.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a placement cell. The placement for Commerce field is good as you can get a package of 6.5 LPA just by doing B.Com. The highest package goes up to even 15 LPA. Many big companies like Deloitte and Zomato recruit from here (according to my seniors).
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we do have a hostel but it has very limited seats and a very small area, which is why there is not much of a hostel life. I have heard that the food and living conditions are decent and the prices are reasonable.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is good and it is spread over a very large area. We have two academic blocks, a ground, a canteen, and a library. Even though, we do not have a functioning auditorium, which is a huge drawback. The other buildings and everything are of moderate size and we have a couple of gardens.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is best part about this college as it provides you with many opportunities to have fun. There are many clubs and societies and each of them is very active and can have a great impact on your life. The fests like ‘Jalsa’ and ‘Nexus’ are great. You can be sure that you will not be missing anything.

    Sri Venkateswara College is popularly known as Venky and South Campus's SRCC when it comes to Commerce and Economics. Sri Venkateswara College can be called as the number one co-ed college in South Campus of Delhi University.     Sri Venkateswara College is a well reputed college of Delhi University. Being a 1st year student, my experience till now has been great in most of the aspects such as academics, extracurricular activities, sports, etc. Having regular seminars makes it even more exciting.
