Life at HITS

Overall Rating
The overall experience in HITS is quite good. The environment is nice, and the faculties are friendly. I wanted to choose a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering course and this institute was recommended by my friends and family. Students who can practice self-study with some mentoring and guidance and self-motivation can join this institute.
 

Academics Rating
I am currently pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering. I joined this institute by writing an Entrance Exam (HITSEE). The students with preferred cut off marks will be given scholarships otherwise you can join directly with your 12th marks. The Eligibility for this course is that you must have compulsory PCM in your 12th grade since it's an engineering course.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculty has a good qualification and a handful of teachers have years of teaching experience. You can learn a lot from them, and they are friendly and approachable. Now, it is up to the students as to how they will get the best out of them. Some good faculties are not in this institute anymore, but new teachers are also okay.
 

Placement Rating
The placements are good. Many companies arrive at the initial phase of placements, and some will come later like cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, nexTurn, BNY Mellon, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
I didn't opt for hostel facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Overall, Infrastructure is average but some of the blocks are very good. For example, the School of Building Sciences is very creative and artistic. Roads are neat and clean. There is an air-conditioned Library with good facilities. Drinking water is available at the campus. Canteens, Xerox shops, supermarkets available. The whole campus has enough greenery.
 

Campus Rating
The crowd is okay during the breaks and free time. The institute has various clubs to participate and showcase your talents. I was a part of the NCC club. Fests occur once a year, Friday gigs and monthly performances happen regularly.

    My overall experience at HITS has been one of the best in my schooling years. The reason I chose the college was because of its massive infrastructure and the course Aerospace Engineering which is very well known here. I think anyone interested in the same course as me should definitely consider this college even if it's far off from the center- Chennai as it will be worth your every penny, time and hard work....     Overall experience at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science is good. You will have a good college experience but when it comes to any issue faced by students. The support from the accounts department is very bad. They will only see how to get more money from students.     As a B.Com student, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science is average institute. It provides courses like Aeronautical, Fashion Designing, Engineering, etc. The institute atmosphere and ambience are good. It needs to improve cleaning and maintenance.
