GDMC: Top College of State

Overall Rating
GDMC has many facilities and these facilities are kept up to date. We get great exposure of government offices as well.
 

Academics Rating
I am enrolled in MBBS. There are 150 seats in the college for MBBS, which one can get by clearing NEET UG cutoff. Reservations are also there which are 30% for girls and other reservations for Scheduled Cast, Schedules Tribe, Economically Weaker Sections, etc.
 

Faculty Rating
Being in the capital city, there is adequate amount of faculty unlike other colleges of the state. All the faculty members have degrees from renowned colleges. Only a few of them are not MBBS or MD but all of them are approachable. PG residents act as link between faculty and students, are approachable in easiest way and very helpful in all the departments.
 

Placement Rating
Till 2018 batch, our college used to have bond but not now.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are good. The fee for hostel is only 6000 INR per year. The mess fee is about 19000-22000 INR for 6 months. The rooms are spacious and are available in double and triple sharing based on your NEET UG rank. 7 rooms share 2 washrooms.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is quite good. All the departments have adequate amount of space. The lecture theatres have centralized air conditioner. There are 2 libraries. These libraries are quite good with all the required books and free Wi-Fi. There is cafeteria and a common room where anyone can sit.
 

Campus Rating
GDMC organizes annual fest, ‘Fornix’ in October or November. This annual fest is preceded by ‘Phoenix’, the sports fest. The cultural fest lasts for 3 days and sports fest for about a week. There is literary club, cultural club, and sports club along with few social organizations that have been started in either the college or college is a part of these organizations.

    The college is situated in Dehradun capital of the Utrakhand state. Academic session started in 2016 and its 4 batches have passed from the college recently. Spread in approximately 12 acres of land and is affiliated with the Main hospital at dehradun. The main hospital is 4 Km away from the hostel and bus service is available.... Read Full Review
