Placement-focused environment

Overall Rating
When I joined in the year 2021, the placements were high, though due to recession in the past few years it has gone down, but the coding culture here is great. Students get the desired help from their seniors. Coding and technical skills are given high importance. The institute also supports us in a way to help us align with our skills, by providing us an additional leverage of attendance at some times.
 

Academics Rating
Admission here happens through JEE Main examinations results. The cut-off can be seen on the JOSAA website. Here there are only 2 branches which are Computer Science and Electronics and Communication Engineering. So, the cutoff goes accordingly. Placements are a priority for students here.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are nice. They help us and guide us all through. Any sort of help by them is appreciated and students can reach out to them for minor inconveniences as well. There are no strict rules that will stop your skill development. The faculties are more than happy to guide you in the things you need help with, thus creating a great collaborative environment.
 

Placement Rating
Yes. Placement Cell exists. The lack of TPO sometimes creates a space to be better. The Training and Placement Cell on its own does a great and highly appreciable job. Sessions are also organized by seniors and others in the field for insights of the corporate world.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel facilities are available. We got a 3 BHK flat with each room having occupancy of 2 students. The food is average but still tastes good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Since it is a temporary campus. We don't have any academic buildings of our own. Classes happen in BSNL campus. The permanent campus is expected to be completed in a few years. Once it is completed, it'll be a good place to stay.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good. You have to make most use of the available resources so as to get the best for yourself. You'll not be spoon fed with opportunities, but you'll have to create space for yourself. If you do so, you can live with luxury and make some really good lifelong friends here.

    IIIT Ranchi is new therefore the curriculum is updated. I have chosen this college because of my personal interest in Computer Science and Engineering.     The reason to choose the college was very simple and that was the placements of the college. Our college has average placement of ₹16.83 lakh.     I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering because my rank didn't allow me to do CSE (I wasn't interested in ECE) and the lecturer to student ratio is 64:1. If one is only interested in placements, then only one should join this IIIT. College life is negligible. One should enrol in NITs if they want to enjoy college life.... Read Full Review

    The college provides a conducive environment for study and experienced teachers. The institute offers a rigorous curriculum that equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in the IT industry. The campus is equipped with normal facilities, including laboratories, a library, and other resources that enhance the learning experience. The mess food is average in the college....     Overall, a good college with decent college life and placement and outside market is available for necessary things. Classes have centralized AC but only fan is functioning, one ground is available for playing, mess food is satisfactory, and hostel is very good compared to IIT and NIT. Teachers are very helpful....
