Life of a Medical Student

Overall Rating
My experience is a mix of both good and bad. Academics were good and we had very good memories with our friends and college. I am unsatisfied with the fees structure. It needs to be made affordable for middle class students also. The Oxford Medical College Hospital and Research Centre also got recognition from NMC and NBEMS.
 

Academics Rating
It is a 5 and half-year course. Entry is through NEET UG entrance exam. It was my dream to serve as a doctor. Eligible candidates have to go through KEA or All India NEET Counseling. Cut off will vary each year.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is very good. They are expertise in their subjects. They are always available to clear our doubts. Their style of teaching depends from subject to subject. There will be CME's for about 2 to 3 months once where guest lectures and experts will share their knowledge with us.
 

Placement Rating
Faculty is very good. They are expertise in their subjects. They are always available to clear our doubts. Their style of teaching depends from subject to subject. There will be CME's for about 2 to 3 months once where guest lectures and experts will share their knowledge with us.
 

Hostel Rating
I am not a hostler but The Oxford Medical College Hospital and Research Centre has separate hostels for both boys and girls. Boys got new hostel building. There will be 2, 3, and 4 sharing options. Mess is also available in hospital block.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Now, academic block is being updated. However, hospital building should be more updated. It should have separate canteen also. Apart from all these things, we have good infrastructure library, and GYM facility. New cafeteria building is under construction.
 

Campus Rating
Our class got 150 students. Overall, campus is good and now we are getting good patient load. We celebrate most of the events like Ganesh Chaturthi, Kannada Rajyosthsava, Onam, Holi, etc. We also get chance to play in RGUHS sports.
