Overall, the university has many plus points such as amazing infrastructure, foreign exposure, top-notch tie-ups, knowledgeable faculty, etc. It is definitely the top university in Uttarakhand. Surely, on the pricey side but it has its own perks. The workload is quite a lot though; the students are expected to keep up with many deadlines. There are also a lot of different types of subjects that focus on personality growth which I like a lot. It has a good number of companies coming for placements and that is what made me choose this university.

The curriculum is also good, but I think it can be further improved by adding more technical subjects and classes. I am enrolled in B.Tech CSE and I am in my third year right now. We have mostly covered all the core subjects of CS, like OOPS, DSA, DBMS, Computer Networks and more. Math and physics are mandatory in the first year of my course. In the second year, we can choose our specialization which includes AI&ML, Full stack AI, Data Science, Devops, Graphics and gaming, CSF, etc. I am enrolled in Data Science and have been taught about databases, data manipulation and some machine learning which is primary in data science.

The faculty is actually really knowledgeable and helpful but some are really strict with exam paper marking. Most teachers are experienced enough to know what they are teaching and give real life examples to make us understand the concepts. They also provide us with material and assignments that help us with self-study. The faculty selection is very diverse.

Yes, there is a separate Placement Cell in our university. They inform us about all the latest companies arriving at the campus and they respond to our mails regarding any queries we have. We are also given special classes by them where they teach us resume building, presentation skills, group discussions, etc. They even pitch to the companies to come to the campus for placements.

Yes, there is a separate boys’ hostel and a separate girls’ hostel in the university. They come in triple sharing and double sharing. There are abundant hostels, PGs and flats outside the campus as well in the vicinity. The prices range from Rs.1, 50, 00/- to Rs.4, 00,000/- as per the facilities.

The infrastructure is top tier. It really feels luxurious to walk through the campus. The buildings are really well-maintained. The library, gym and all common buildings have ACs. There are two campuses; both are equally beautiful, surrounded by mountains and scenic locations. The campus has greenery and places where you can sit and relax.

There is no bullying. Hostlers can roam around the campus till late. Everyone is really helpful. There are 3-4 cafes, 2 food courts, Dunkin donut, dominoes, etc in the campus. It is very enjoyable and peaceful. You can have loads of fun with your friends while also studying and engaging in extra-curricular activities.
