Overall Rating
Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy is an emerging Institute established in 2016, located in the city of Visakhapatnam.
 

Academics Rating
There are three branches- Chemical, Petroleum, and Mechanical, out of which Mechanical has been introduced recently. There are industrial visits for Mechanical students, and excellent state of the art facilities for research in Chemical and Petroleum related subjects. The class is extremely engaging, regular assignments are provided to apply concepts, and examinations are conducted regularly for evaluation. The system of Relative grading is followed.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers are extremely qualified having pursued their degrees from the prestigious IIT's and even universities like Oxford University. The faculty is supportive and approachable. They are very friendly and its extremely delightful learning subjects from them. They are very accessible and helpful to clarify even silliest doubts.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy has a placement cell. It works hard and the institute has managed to secure 98% placements in previous campus drive.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are located at extremely accessible locations where essentials are well within reach.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy does not have its own campus but hopes to shift to the new campus in 2025 with the construction going on fully-fledged. However, the classes are conducted in Andhra University, North campus, Principal Block Building, 2nd Floor. Bus facilities have been provided for the students from their respective hostels to institute. Students can avail sports facilities provided by Andhra University.
 

Campus Rating
The Institute has a few clubs that are in their budding stages. The annual fest of the institute is called ‘Shashwat’. There are several projects in which professors are working and students too can be part of these projects (if they contact these professors on time).

    Overall Rating
    Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy, Visakhapatnam is good, and placements are impressive. Around 10 to 15 percent of students secure placement in prestigious PSUs. However, the only issue is that we do not have a campus. On the other side, the hostels are excellent better than any government (including IITs) or private institute.     Overall Rating
    Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy is the Institute of national importance, they say. College is maintained neat and clean. Every year, we have sports meet that happens for 3 days and there are also many events like freshers, fest that take place. Overall it is a good experience but since it is a new college, the placements are still not up to the mark. We are still trying to improve our placements.... Read Full Review
