All You Need to Know About AIT, Pune

Overall Rating
AIT is an institute only for Army Wards and J&K quota students. It was affiliated to SPPU but now it is in process of becoming autonomous. Initially, one might find it little strict than other institutes as we are army wards and are expected to behave in certain way but after adjusting and with time you will get use to it. It is not a big campus but still green enough and have all the facilities you require.
 

Academics Rating
There are 2 courses: Bachelors and Masters of Engineering (BE and ME). There are four branches in BE namely Computer Engineering (120+4), Information Technology (120+4), Electronics & Telecommunications (120+4), and AI & Automation (120+4). I chose Data Science branch. The branches are assigned according to merit list based on JEE Main result.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is overall good. Like in any institute, you find some very good teachers and some not up to your liking. However, most of the teachers are happy to support you if you are interested in studies. If you are interested in research work then you can find many professors who will be happy to help.
 

Placement Rating
There is one Training and Placement Cell in our institute. It helps students to get internship and placements. Placements are decent in our institute.
 

Hostel Rating
There are total 5 hostels in AIT Pune, 4 for boys and 1 for girls, along with 1 dorm for boys. Hostels have single, doublets, triple and quadruple sharing rooms that are assigned according to merit list. Girl's hostel is equipped with a kitchen, a GYM, a recreational room, and a mess. Boy's hostel also has a recreational room. There is a hostel in time, which you have to follow, and strictly for girls.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has a food court, an open-air canteen, a juice shop, a barbershop (cost included in fees), a grocery store, and 2 stationeries. There are laundry services too (cost included in fees). There are 2-basketball courts, 1 football ground, 2-volleyball courts, 2 squash courts, 1 badminton court, 1 lawn tennis court, 1 kabaddi ground, and 1 GYM. In addition, there is one Aryabhatta centre, which contains our library, reading hall and Auditorium. Campus has decent infrastructure and has most of the things you need.
 

Campus Rating
Our campus is very safe for everyone. There are many clubs and boards in our institute, which students can be a part of and if you want to make a new club then there is a process to follow but it is possible. The clubs are mostly funded by institute and they conduct many activities for students. There is one major fest in institute and three-intra institute fest. So overall, you will find your campus life very interesting and will make many good memories.

    As my college name “Army” Institute of Technology suggests, this college is full of discipline and is regulated by AWES (Army Welfare Education Society). The placements of the college are excellent. The average package of college is 13-14 LPA and last year, the highest package was 1.2 CRPA.     I came to know about Army Institute of Technology through one of my faculty members who taught me in my entrance coaching. Later, I searched about the college and went through their own website. The college's official website consists of all the information regarding admission process, fees structure, placements details, etc. Since my father was from the army, I felt like this will be the best option for me as this college will be safe and secure while studying, as well as for placements....     I would rate the college 8/10. The placements are good but could get better. The campus is pretty small and far from the main land city, other than this, I think the college is pretty good and can compete with many NITs around the nation.     AIT is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University or SPPU. AIT has the best environment for Coding and sports. It has many clubs having 100+ of members. Only children of Army, Navy, and Air force people are eligible to take admission here.... Read Full Review
