Overall, experience at IIITA is very good. The peer group here is top notch. The institute is famous for is its coding culture and you can feel it every day. If you are interested in coding, IIITA should be your first priority (just like mine was).

The course that I have been enrolled here is Bachelor’s of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). It also offers two more branches Information Technology and Information Technology with specialization In Business Informatics. The curriculum is very latest and follows NEP 2020 unlike other NITs or IITs. The entry requirements or eligibility criteria of getting in IIITA is through JEE scores.

The faculty members teaching in my particular course (ECE) are well educated and knowledgeable. Every faculty here has done their doctorate from a very renowned institution. Their teaching style is also very good. If you attend all the classes with focus, you don’t need to study that particular chapter at home again. Therefore, faculty is top notch.

Yes, IIITA has a placement cell. The placement scenario is better than some of IITs because of the latest curriculum and practical approach. Mostly, placements are done via placement cell. Placement stats are very great with average package of around 25 LPA, median around 20 LPA, and highest around 1.4 CPA.

Yes, the institute provides hostel facilities also. I live in the hostel provided by the institution. The hostels are manageable. The rooms are double sharing for freshers. The room size is very good and for two people you get 2 cupboards, 2 beds, 2 chairs, and 2 tables by the institution and rest you have to buy by yourself. The hygiene is very decent washrooms and bathrooms are usable. There is a GYM also in the hostel with good equipment.

The campus is of 100 acres that might sound small but it’s enough. It consists every kind of sports facility including a ground, swimming pool, and other facilities. Campus’s academic block consists of 3 main buildings where the classes and labs takes place for different course students. Each building is air conditioned. There is a library too, which has large amount of useful books to read.

There is a misconception about IIITA that there is no campus life but let me correct you. The campus life is full of fun. There are different clubs, societies, and events going on every other day. We got music society, dance society, drama society, fine arts society, and literary society. These societies organize different events throughout the year. There is this famous tech club for tech people. The annual cultural fest named ‘Effervescence’ that is a 3 day event in which different artists perform. Throughout the fest, there are multiple competitions going on. Then there is the annual technical fest named Aproksha that includes multiple Hackathon and competition for the tech enthusiasts. Overall, the campus life is very fun and happening.
