I have had a very nice and enriching experience in Amity University Kolkata. The reason behind selecting this university was its good reputation, great infrastructure and real industry driven curriculum. The practical in-class learning has really increased both my skillset and confidence as I prepare to enter a competitive job market. Campus life is lively and adventurous here, more than academics—a bit wild. Its about building character and friendships. Further, I have loved the things I pursued beyond the classroom that added to my experience.

Pursuing BCA (Bachelor’s in Computer Application) from Amity University Kolkata has been a life-changing experience for me. The course is based on a futuristic curriculum where one can learn basic Computer Programming, Web Development and much more about Artificial Intelligence and IoT. To be admitted, you need to have good academic knowledge of Math as well as Computer Science, and should secure the required merit decided by university in a specified entrance exam. Being very passionate about technology and programming, I opted this course because it provides an amalgamation of both theoretical concepts along with practical exposure through projects and internships. Here, I have been studying and learning whatever I like as per my interest in software development (especially building apps, games, etc.). In addition, learning it in a way, how every computer application is built with proper problem solving, logic building, and optimization. The best part of this place is its exposure and opportunities through workshops, internships, and projects under appropriate fields needed for realization of respective things you are doing. Therefore, it was a planned decision to choose this course as one-step towards my aim where I want to become an all round IT person.

The academics at Amity University, Kolkata is supported by a faculty of experienced and dedicated professionals. The professors of other allied courses are known to be specially good.

Placements of Management and Law studies are good. It gives good placement in these two departments. However, for Allied Course, it is not up to the mark.

The university has a hostel facility in the campus premises.

It is situated near Aliah University in Rajarhat. It has 2 canteens, 2 academic building,, 1 two-level library, 1 spacious auditorium, 1 atrium, and 1 amphitheater. It also has 1 basketball field, 1 football field, and underground table tennis court. The ambience is good. All the buildings are centrally air-conditioned. The whole campus has access to free Wi-Fi. It provides bus service for students. The campus is well maintained, featuring contemporary facilities such as well-equipped laboratories, a comprehensive library, and comfortable study areas. for media and film studies , the university is equipped with amazing equipment and indoor studio.

Students from different regions and cultures promote diversity and inclusion throughout the university fostering a peaceful and co-operative environment. The campus is alive with a buzz due to the throw of numerous student operated clubs and societies which cuts across a myriad of interest. For the tech, heads there is coding and robotics, the creatively inclined can engage themselves in debate and drama, photography for artsy and several of such other activities. I am particularly in favor of technology and the tech clubs have been very helpful as I am trying to enhance my abilities. To sustain the excitement, enthusiasts regularly conduct workshops, hackathons, and quizzes to enhance their areas of interest. The annual ‘Amity Youth Fest’ has been very exciting. The moment when the whole university gets to unite and get into a ‘fun-f fiesta’ is a special one. The multitude of academic programs, cultural show that includes students meeting industry people and many other aspects makes the youth fest unforgettable. However, there are occasional administrative delays and communication issues that can affect the overall experience. While the university strives for excellence, addressing these minor concerns would further enhance its reputation.
