Great experience at Government Medical College, Thrissur

Overall Rating
I chose this college because it has good academics, and it is near my hometown. Government Medical College provides students with clinical exposure and the overall infrastructure is very good. The campus has greenery and serene views.
 

Academics Rating
We have a well-structured curriculum and dedicated faculties with a variety of teaching methods. We get early clinical exposure through patient care, practical learning, specialties & super specialties and we have rigorous assessment standardisation of evaluation competency based on medical curriculum. The students are taught research-oriented learning and collaborative assessment.
 

Faculty Rating
We have highly qualified academic experts with diverse specialisation. They are also experienced clinicians who are approachable and believe in interactive teaching methods. The faculties use modern teaching tools incorporated with audiovisual and put emphasis on practical learning. They have high mentorship quality and give every individual attention for post graduate guidance.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are designed to provide comfort and a good living environment. We have separate hostels for boys and girls. Basic furniture is present, and we have a student mess which serves hygienic and nutritious food. Additionally, we have a study hall as well.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The class rooms are spacious and equipped with a projector. The campus has laboratories including histology, hematology, biochemistry and a dissection hall with a number of cadaver. We have a library, an open reading room, examination hall, auditorium, stimulation rooms, seminar hall, research center and a modified Air-conditioned lecture hall. The campus has a modern design and is well-ventilated with 476 rooms.
 

Campus Rating
Government Medical College, Thrissur has many curricular and extracurricular activities here including medical camps, red ribbons club, van club and many fests are also conducted such as Ethnic Day. The graduation ceremony is the biggest event in college. We have 175 students in each batch so almost 1000+ doctors and students are there.

    The college life is nice, and my seniors recommended this college for its academic curriculum. It is excellent for curricular and extracurricular activities.
