My experience at RKGIT

Overall Rating
My overall experience at Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology has been pretty great and the recurring small or big events, sports and other extracurricular activities have significantly helped in making my college experience better. Reasons for why I chose this institute in particular was mainly because of the affordable fee structure, disciplined academic curriculum, decent infrastructure and it was closer to my hometown.
 

Academics Rating
For enrolling in any branch minimum 60% marks is required in class 12th examination. We are requested to provide our class 10th and class 12th mark sheet and scores of any competitive exams (JEE, CUET, etc). Candidates can also get a scholarship if they belong in marginal groups (below poverty line) or through UP scholarship.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are approachable, and students are allowed to contact them whenever they have a doubt. They have quite a unique teaching style. Dr. S.P Bihari who teaches us Electrical Engineering and Ms. Pratima Sharma, who is a Chemistry faculty are helpful.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there are Placements Cells in the institute to help students get internship opportunities and get placed. Some of the recent companies which visited RKGIT were - Polycab India, Infosys, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel is better than expected and the yearly fee for the hostel is Rs.84000/-. They serve us quality food and follow a fixed menu for 7 days a week. There is a gym with all the required instruments and a trainer. For security and safety, there is a warden, and a guard present all the time.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has a separate building for students of different courses and year. It has a separate block for every specialisation (e.g. Computer Science block) and it has a separate block for submitting the fee. The campus has multiple grounds to facilitate consistent sports activities. It has separate football, volleyball, and a cricket ground. Canteen and dispensary are also available.
 

Campus Rating
"Tatva" is a fest that will be held at the end of semester between the months of June-July. There are a lot of clubs that are present such as dramatics clubs, sports clubs, IEEE, etc, which students can take part in based on their personal interest. I participated in "LFR 2.0" conducted by IEEE where I was a runner up. The overall experience was quite great. Sports match with other institutes are also pretty regular.

    My overall review of the campus is not very good. I want to go to institutes like 'AKG' and 'JAYPEE', but my 12th PCM percentage was less and I could not pass the college criteria. I visited many colleges but could not find anything. My counselling percentile was also low which is why I could not get CSE in other colleges.     It’s an average college of NCR region. Good for Computer Science and Engineering Students. College has all the basic facilities and good infrastructure. The campus is not that much big but still it has playgrounds and courts with gym and canteen. Various extracurricular activities are organised on a regular basis in college campus....     I was searching all around for Engineering colleges. At that time I came to know about this college. My elder cousin brother also studied from this college.   • I regret as hell to be a part of RKGIT

    RKGIT has a good reputation but on almost all counts that I will answer in the review the college has failed to deliver. The college has a dress code of white shirt, grey trousers, and maroon tie, which students rarely follow. When I initially joined the college, there were no rules as we can come back at any time we want.
