St. Stephen's College, known for its 143 years of excellence in Liberal Arts and Science has been a beacon of education since 1881. Founded on 1st February 1881, the college has been the oldest college in Delhi. Since then, St. Stephen's has been a visionary college rendering its contribution in the academic and co-curricular Diaspora of the Country. Talking about my experience in the college has been amazing and fulfilling as Stephen's was my dream college hence getting admission here is in itself a dream come true. The college as its history is a real testimony to its excellence which can be felt in the environment and the safe space which the college provides to each individual to be them and to explore their inner call. The college has over 70+ student led societies that provides every individual a platform to explore their inner talents and initiate their growth. Stephen's is serene and calm and it’s just special in itself.

Talking about the B.A program, the eligibility criteria requires the students to pass class 12th examination and appear for the CUET examination. The cutoff of the course is comparatively higher than the Science Courses. Therefore, the competition bar is high amongst students. The motive behind the course is that it provides the opportunity to students to cater to two disciplines simultaneously; hence the students can choose any two amongst Economics, Political science, History, Urdu, English, and Philosophy as their major and minor subjects.

The faculty members of St Stephen's College are extremely learned and have gained distinguished knowledge of the domain which they cater to and The qualifications of the faculties in the college range from M.phil to Doctorate level. The teaching style of each faculty is student centric and student friendly. With the use of technology, the faculties render the best education possible. They are not limited to the syllabus, but the main intention is to provide holistic knowledge which captivates students’ interest and widen their academic knowledge.

The Placement Cell of the Campus by its name is Campus Placement cell. It is a student-led body that from its inception has invited the top companies including McKinsey, Accenture, D.E. Shaw, etc. Hence, it provides a competent and high package base for the students in the corporate world. The highest package was 25 LPA. The college within the Cell collaborates with NGOs, wildlife sanctuaries as well as other opportunities for individuals who want to get into the social aspect of corporate space.

Yes, the college provides residential facilities. It is a home away from home. With facilities ranging from college mess to a recreational area known as the junior common room, the residence provides everything that eases the living experience of the students. The residence is divided amongst 6 Blocks, 3 each meant for boys and girls respectively. The infrastructure includes inclusive facilities such as ramps for PwD students and other facilities.

The infrastructure of the college is exceptionally good and inclusive. Separate block ranges for Arts and Science courses incorporating well-equipped lab areas. Each classroom is equipped with sufficient lighting, ACs and fans. It has a common library and a specific library for science courses as well. The college provides recreational area to both the hostel students and day scholars including basketball court, gym, tennis court, sports ground and a junior common room. The campus has a cafe and a Dhaba as well to meet the mid-lecture hunger of the students.

College life in itself is wonderful and happening, with simultaneous events taking place each day, the college feels like a place where you can recreate, enjoy and make memories. The crowd of the college is welcoming and of course the friendship that grows is precious and timeless. The annual fest of the college 'Harmony' is a fun three-day event ranging from competitions to various cultural performances. Everyone gets involved and get a recreational space. Altogether St. Stephen's is a place worth living and studying, the college is not just a college because it is a home away from home. Each day passes by creating uncountable memories and wonderful experiences which will be cherished later.
