Good academic life

Overall Rating
GSV is in its growing stage and could be considered as a tier-2 university. Overall, the university will provide you all the facilities except a large campus. It is strict about its academics and rules and has a zero-tolerance policy in non-disciplinary actions. Currently, GSV is getting popular and choosing GSV was a great choice in 2024. In a few years it might get listed as a top institute like IIT, NIT and RGIPT.
 

Academics Rating
As I mentioned before, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya is very strict about academics. Here, classes are scheduled from 8:40 A.M. to 6:25 P.M., which includes theory and practical classes. Other than the common subjects, you will also be studying IRSE (Introduction to Rail System Engineering) or IAE (Introduction to Aviation Engineering). The student batch is small which gives you more chances to grow. There is a strict attendance which is to keep the attendance 75% and above. Less than 75% would deduct a grade from the subject.
 

Faculty Rating
Permanent faculties are highly qualified, and guest professors are also called for teaching subjects like IRSE and IAE. Guest professors are called from top institutes like IIT and IIM, even from the railway department. They are strict towards academics but at the same time supportive as well.
 

Placement Rating
The Placement Cell is present in GSV, and they are working hard. Last year ECE and CIVIL branch. ECE had a placement record of 90% last year and civil had 100% placements.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel is one of the best parts of the university. Most government engineering universities can never match the standard of the hostels of GSV. Each room is equipped with an air-conditioner and a separate washroom. First year hostellers reside in Stanza living Oakland which is 10 km away from the campus, but bus facility is provided by the university. 2nd and 3rd year students are residents of high-speed rail hostels and 4th year students are residents of Mehmaan ( Mehmaan is the most luxurious hostel).
 

Infrastructure Rating
Labs are equipped with all the facilities except chemistry lab and labs are small in size. The university also has a Palace which has large forest areas. New labs and a hostel are in the construction phase. The university has all types of sports facilities including dedicated badminton court, basketball court, volleyball ground, football ground, etc.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, GSV has a good campus life but on regular days your schedule is so busy you might not have to explore the campus. In the forest area, you would find peacocks and the greenery is not just there but also in the campus.

    Gati Sakhti Vishwavidyalaya is a central university under the Indian Railways. Many people think that it is a railway college and offer only railway engineering but this is completely wrong. GSV offers the core engineering courses like AI & DS, EE, ECE, CE, and ME in specialisation with railway engineering. It is located in Vadodara Gujarat NAIR campus.
