My life at DAVV - Institute of Management Studies, Indore

Overall Rating
Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is a State University of Madhya Pradesh with a lush green campus, multiple departments offering multiple courses from Bachelors, Masters, to Certification and Diploma. The university not only focuses on academic growth of the students but also their participation in the extracurricular activities. The DAVV auditorium holds various programs, conduct seminars, and other conclaves. The place ensures holistic development of an individual.
 

Academics Rating
Admission to this university can be taken by giving CUET exam for all the degrees. Except for Engineering, where one gets admission through JEE examination. Also, it accepts CMAT score for MBA. Here, we have executive MBA as well which attracts talented students from all over state. The university invited the President of India for this year's convocation, which was really a proud moment for us.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of each course are dedicated. We have coordinators and facilitators who are the backbone for every course. The faculties ensure the syllabus is completed on time and every topic of the syllabus has been touched upon. They encourage us for reading and participate in the research work to have conceptual clarity and not just rely on traditional learning.
 

Placement Rating
Every department has a dedicated Placement Cell with placement coordinators working dedicatedly throughout the year. The Training and Placement Officer (TPO) here personally ensures that right companies approach the course. Even the companies are called to provide internship opportunities to the students. Deloitte, Arsecium, Google are some of the companies to name that visit the campus.
 

Hostel Rating
We have a Government hostel separately for girls and boys. There are 5 girls’ hostel and 3 boys’ hostel. Speaking specifically of girls’ hostel, they provide absolute safety with strict rules for timings, which it has to be applauded for. Complaints are resolved immediately. Food is hygienic and the taste is also fine. With a minimal fee charged for both mess and hostel, it a fine place to live in.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is very clean with greenery all around. The buildings have all the facilities from labs to auditoriums. Classes are well lit and airy and are equipped with all modern facilities with CCTVs installed. Renovation is done on a timely basis. There is no complaining regarding infrastructure in any of the departments.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is really good here. With various fests and cultural events conducted all-round the year, one gets enough time and opportunities to enjoy and learn from every event and also get a chance to participate. These events ensure holistic development of an individual, providing ample opportunities to explore and celebrate life.

    IMS DAVV offers MBA in Computer at a fee lesser than what it will cost for most of the UG courses. Fees was certainly one of the points why I chose this institute but other than that too, it accepts a very high CAT percentile. The procedure is same that is followed by most of the B-School.   • IMS DAVV is a rising institute

    IMS DAVV is one of the best MBA colleges not just in Indore but in Madhya Pradesh as a whole. There’s no point talking about IIM Indore but in comparison to PIMR, Medicaps University, or Sanghvi Institute, IMS DAVV is much better. Almost all the students were placed with a package of 4-5 lakhs. Even though the institute is a self-financed one, the fees is lower than any private MBA colleges.     When we talk about the options of management studies in the commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh Indore, then the list begins with the Indian Institute of Management, Indore and then goes on and on. My scores in the CAT examinations were not good enough to get admission in IIM Indore so I had decided to join IMS, DAVV Indore.
