Campus life at IIITT, Trichy

Overall Rating
I got admission in this institute through the CSAB round. Currently, our institute is in a good position and tries to give its best to the students from whatever it has got. Speaking about curricular activities, it offers adequate facilities, and the placement opportunities provided are also sufficient. The institute comes under the category of Institution of National Importance & holds a great value in your CV.
 

Academics Rating
The CSE faculty is no doubt really good. If you have an interest in technical things then you should enroll yourself in the Computer Science field. In today's world it is the most demanding branch. For admission in the CSE branch, you need a higher percentile in JEE Mains than any other branch. The cutoff may differ according to your category.
 

Faculty Rating
Every faculty has extensive knowledge about their field and is encouraging. Recently one of our faculties got an opportunity in other country. Some of the faculty members are from IITs and other dignified institutes. Some have done their research work in DRDO. The faculty members always encourage students to participate in various projects and other related activities so that everyone is benefitted in the long run. Workshops are conducted to enhance our knowledge.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a Placement Cell, and it always helps us to get internship from companies. They regularly post about internship applications so that we are aware of the upcoming opportunities. This year 10-15 students from the institute received placement offer in 7th semester only.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, hostel facilities are available here and the hostel life is the best part of our lives. Every corner of the hostel is clean and new. We have gym facility, study room, etc. We can also play carom, table tennis, etc. during our leisure time.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Currently, we have 4 buildings; 1st is the Administration Building where library, seminar hall and classes are held, and Wi-Fi is available everywhere. 2nd is the Mess Block which is for both boys and girls and every style of food is served to the students. 3rd one is boys’ hostel which has a badminton court, other indoor games and Wi-Fi facility. 4th is girls’ hostel which has a gym and other recreational facilities. Most of the buildings are newly built.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is defined by the institute & the friends you make here. Cultural fests are always happening in the campus. EDM nights are also hosted. We also celebrate other festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi. Atrang is the Technical Fest that is basically conducted in the Administration Block. Every auspicious day is celebrated with a mega mess menu. Inter institute sports events are also hosted.
