After studying in the college, I felt that most of the hype didn’t match my expectation. The college is well known for business education and has a great ranking as well. However, the course and faculty happen to work on making the students efficient. Despite the college not being so old and the premises not being enough, the campus has gained popularity for its sheer dedication to imparting quality education. The atmosphere is serious yet friendly, with so much more to do than you can imagine.

Many of us applied when we saw the college ranking, and I felt that being in the top 50 would improve my chances of learning the best curriculum. The course is hectic with too much crammed in, and if you are lazy like me, it will take a lot of effort to cope with the pace. A lot of coursework, projects, and other activities are included giving no breathing space for students. If increasing efficiency was the goal well, I think I could keep up with it.

I came across highly qualified faculty members who were more than willing to impart their knowledge and advice to students. It was a mix of new and experienced hands, and you had to navigate to understand each one’s teaching technique and adjust your thinking capacity. The faculty were happy to clear doubts of any nature. Since I wasn’t the studious kind, I hardly faced such a situation! I kind of got along with all of my lecturers as bunking lecturers wasn’t my forte. But I may have nodded off in some of the lecturers.

I have felt the placement is better when you do a master’s in this institute, top-notch companies do come to the campus to pick the postgraduate candidates with great pay packages. The bachelor’s candidates may have to make do with second-tier companies. However, the placement cells do make efforts to get you good placements. The campus boasts of collaborating with top companies in the hiring process. However, these haven’t materialized in the students’ getting placed in those prestigious companies even when esteemed names have to put efforts for the bachelor students to get good employment through these placement drives.

Most of the campus is occupied by the college. However, the hostel facilities or boarding and lodging for students are found outside the campus. The girls' hostel happens to be a little far, and commuting time is wasted even though college buses ferry students to the campus. There was a nominal rent for the hostel facilities, but the hassle of traveling sometimes made me often wonder to get into the paying guest options, which many friends did shift after the first year. For those who prefer PG, accommodation near the college is also available.

The college is fairly new, so there are quite a number of modern amenities on the campus. We had digital classrooms, two seminar halls, a library, and a playground which most of us didn’t use for playing but hanging around for gossiping and being away from the classrooms for a while. As mentioned earlier, the campus is small even the other amenities aren’t so accommodative. The substantial number of students who happen to be studying in the college doesn’t have enough parking facilities. I almost ended up each day fighting for a space to park my two-wheeler.

Since the campus is centrally located in the city, students can have a chance to pop out and check out the city and its attractions during the weekends. But the burden of studying and other activities often bogged us down, even going out during our three-year stay on the campus. The campus itself is small in size, and you might not want to explore every nook and cranny of it. Most of my friends and I indulged in various activities on the campus and didn’t get much time to go out. However, we did envy the engineering students who, in fact, had a better campus layout than ours.
