Critical Review on MBM University

Overall Rating
I can say that MBM University is quite good in terms of placements in core branches like Petroleum, Electrical, and Mechanical. This university is situated at the centre of city Jodhpur, which is around 2-3 KM away from every major places like hospital, railway station or bus stand. You can consider this university of you are more interested in core branches are want to prepare for gate or any other government exams. University timings are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM for students.
 

Academics Rating
This university offers many professional courses like B.Tech, B.Arch, ME, PhD, and many more. To get admission into Engineering, you need minimum 89 percentile for lower branches like Civil, Mechanical, or EEE (for general male category). To get Computer Science, you need a minimum of 96 percentile (for general category) and 95 percentile for IT and 94 percentile for AI.
 

Faculty Rating
Here, faculty is experienced in some branches but there are some teachers who can bring improvements in their teaching. Many teachers have been professors in IIT's too and now, they are teaching in MBM University. In first year, mostly guest faculty takes classes, which are not professors and have less experience.
 

Placement Rating
Placements of tech branches are very low. Companies that visit include Vedanta, TCS, or Wipro visit the campus for recruitment.
 

Hostel Rating
Most of the hostels need to be refurbished. There is separate hostel for girls and boys. In girl’s hostel, there are entry and exit timings whereas in boy’s hostel, there are no restrictions.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is divided into two sections, named as North Campus and South Campus. They are on either side of road. Since this is an old university, infrastructure is also old. Instruments and Machines in labs need to be replaced. However, sitting arrangement is such a way that each student can sit properly. Currently, university is investing to improve infrastructure. It also has canteen.
 

Campus Rating
The management needs to pay attention to the campus life. There is lack of events and fests.

    This university is Rajasthan's oldest university. My experience here is average, as it has an average infrastructure needs development. As per statistics, the placements are good and there are many clubs in the university helping students to develop their personality. Overall, this university is a standard government university.
