My experience at AMU

Overall Rating
I chose Aligarh Muslim University because I want to study in India's one of the top universities and also because it is affordable. If you want to be a part of Sir Syed’s (founder of AMU) vision, then I think you should think about choosing AMU.
 

Academics Rating
B.COM (HONS) is a four-year course which includes all the subjects related to commerce and some minor subjects like Aligarh movement and EVS. For Entry, AMU conducts its own entrance exam of 100 marks which has sections including - accountancy, business studies, economics and English. The Eligibility is securing 55% marks in class 12th commerce.
 

Faculty Rating
The commerce faculty is full of highly qualified professors like Nawab Ali sir who is a human resource professor who has 30+ years of teaching experience and another one is Asif Khan sir who is a management professor and now the Dean of the department. In short, professors are excellent and will give you the best life lessons on a daily basis.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a Placement Cell named - Training and Placement Cell (TPO), different companies visit our campus and hire students. The average placement is around 4 LPA to 5 LPA. The TPO also runs different placement drives like Parwaaz (for female candidates).
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are pretty good, and the fee is Rs.2000/- and Rs.1700/- for mess monthly which includes three meals a day. The hostel also has a playground, common room and reading room.
 

Infrastructure Rating
AMU has good infrastructure; it has both retro and modern buildings. It has beautiful gardens like Gulistan-E- Syed and duck garden (it has actual ducks), sport complex, different clubs like horse riding club to debate club (I am part of this club) and world-famous library -Maulana Azad Library.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is fun and full of students who come from different parts of India and even from different countries. Every department has their own fests, and the main annual cultural festival is "SIR SYED DAY". This is when AMU students meet together and celebrate Founder’s Day. Kennedy auditorium is where fests, movies, drama or events are organised. This campus is full of different museums, famous buildings and fun people.

    Aligarh Muslim University is a century-old Educational Marvel. The objective for its establishment was quality education for that section of students who cannot afford it.     To sum up the five years of my law college at Aligarh Muslim University, I'd like to say that I spent a wonderful time at the college. The library of the institute is really amazing.
