Vellore Institute of Technology, established in 2001, is a private deemed university which is ranked between 791-800 positions as per QS world Ranking 2025, VIT offers many courses and degrees like: B.Tech, M.Tech, BBA, B.Com, LLM, MBA, Ph.Ds and many more. The admissions here are based on a single entrance examination called VITEEE or Vellore institute of technology Engineering entrance examination. The examination consists of MCQ problems which vary around easy to medium difficulty and a minority of the portion comes from hard difficulty. The selection process then completes with a counseling round where students get to choose their desired course and category based upon the VITEEE rankings. VIT holds great placement records; scholarships are also provided to the students based on their performance.

VIT holds a great academic column, providing quality education to students from all over the globe. The academics are one of the brightest attractions of this university, with excellent faculties and education facilities, students get the best out of their time attending lectures and thus gaining deep interests and information here. The CGPA here is calculated on the basis of relative grading unlike universities having absolute grading, the CGPA every semester is calculated by the average relative score per course.

A gym is also there for students to stay fit and fine. Strict timings are implemented to create discipline among students and security is ensured by having tons of guards at places.

Mess provides food 4 times a day which is breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. The food is made in clean utensils and healthy ingredients are used.
