Transformative Years at SIHM, Sidhpur

Overall Rating
Main reason to join SIHM is that it is affiliated with GTU and managed by Gujarat Tourism that is very impactful for my further development in the industry. It provides 4-year degree course. This course is advanced and more knowledgeable then other IHM courses. SIHM is not perfect but it is the best. Overall experience was excellent and I miss the institute.
 

Academics Rating
This course will teach you and make you understand all the tasks related to hotel industry. It also helps us to learn how to run operations and operational departments in the hotel. Personally, the institute’s main intention is to teach their students about handling difficult situations. The eligibility criterion is that you need to pass 10+2 with 65% in any field (Arts, Commerce, or Science). You can contact institute and can visit and then you can enroll yourself.
 

Faculty Rating
During my time, I must say that I found best faculties. They are still in contact. We do meet them ones or twice. I personally liked the fact that they were knowledgeable with industrial experience. They always made efforts to give best knowledge so that we can excel in the hotel industry.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are good. It has good contacts with the companies and hotels. I was selected in Oberoi Hotels during campus placements and also in Reliance Retails.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels in State Institute of Hotel Management are excellent seriously. All the things are properly managed and hygiene is well maintained.
 

Infrastructure Rating
State Institute of Hotel Management is quite big. It is located in quiet city in Siddhpur which is small town but very beautiful. Facilities in the campus include GYM, sports (indoor and outdoor) like volleyball, table tennis, cricket, etc., auditorium, and many others. It also has many snacks and food outlets.
 

Campus Rating
There were many things or activities to do during free time, for example, sports. It also organized movie night for the entertainment of the students. there is no clubs or like that but yeah you'll find amazing restaurants which are the best as during my time mostly I've been there to explore the foods and activities in the city.
