National Institute of Technology B.Tech Review By Abhibhav Garg

My overall experience with this institute is positive. This institute was suggested by my friends. I suggest everyone to join this institute as it is up to mark.

My course is Information Technology as I was interested in Software Engineering and wanted to pursue it. Your rank should be at least 25000 in JEE Mains to get this course in this institution. My motive is a need of high paying job.

All teachers are well qualified with the degree, not less than Ph.D. Some of the teachers even have a post doc from foreign countries. Teachers and their experiences are supportive and helpful, but very few of them give marks easily in exam. The exam papers made by them are on a bit tougher side, but the course subject teachers are very good teachers.

NIT, Jalandhar has a placement cell and it does its best to help students acquire jobs. But for good job offer there are too much competition and so only the best can get the best. The [IT] branch has an average of 12 LPA and 52 LPA was the highest package.

NIT, Jalandhar has 10 boy’s hostel and three girl’s hostel. I have got BH-1 for first year and the facilities here are way better than what I have imagined from any hostel. I have never dreamt that I could get such delicious food in any hostel mess. I never felt need to go to cafeteria to have a lunch or breakfast. We get three meals in a day and snacks in the evening. The Hostel also has a badminton court, volleyball court and indoor games room. The institute also has different reading rooms and computer labs. There are about 10 to 12 computers and all have I7 processor and CP, which is fantastic and marvelous.

The campus has separate buildings for each branch of engineering, except [IT] building. Rest all buildings are made. It will take two years for the building to be made. The second library is very good and it has three air-conditioners. It is among my most favorite spots in the institute.

My experience has been wonderful. I have got to meet students from across all over the country and I have got to learn about their cultures and festivals. Also, there are some students who had come from foreign like Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, etc. There are a lot of clubs like modeling, drama, dance, sports, etc. Technical fest and sports fest are also conducted to provide students with opportunities to show their skills. I got a gold medal at chess tournament, which was one of the events and sports fest and I loved it.
