Our Institute is located in the heart of the city and you can commute through BMTC buses or metro. The institute doesn't have much space for sports and some of the instruments for branches like Mechanical might not work but the labs are maintained well.

The courses follow VTU syllabus, and it is not the latest. Therefore, I would recommend students to start studying in the first year from multiple resources which will help them. Examinations are tough and no leniency is entertained which is something I'm proud of because the students here maintain a very competitive environment. Attendance is very important for our institute. It should be around 75% for sure. I would suggest students to choose CSE and other related branches for placement opportunities.

The faculty depends on the branch you are from. I would say CSE and ISE have the best faculty as far as I know. The institute has many Research Centers and people who want to publish their research papers can be benefitted by the experienced teachers. The teachers are pretty strict towards academics.

Though it has a hostel, it is pretty hard to get allotted a room there. The girls’ hostel is very far away so they have a bus for commuting from hostel to campus and it might take about an hour to reach there.

There are four blocks in total. Main block, mechanical block, MBA block and chemistry & physics block. The blocks are good but there are no air-conditioners and functionality of lifts can be a problem for few. We have a society which provides all the required materials like note books, records, graphs, etc. There's a Xerox shop as well but it might be expensive for some people.

If there is something that I like the most, it is the clubs of the university. There are around 35 of them and some are active while some clubs are not. We have people coming to the institute for speeches, workshops, etc. We have two major fests here, Manthan and Kannada Kalarotvsava or something like that. The Manthan is a one-month long celebration and It's magical to say the least.
